Rev. Lesh Johnson is Pastor in Lake St. Louis, MO. Yesterday, he was in
some terrible accident in Illinois and was flown to St. John's Mercy
Hospital in St. Louis. He has multiple fractures of the skull and
contusions on the brain. He is unresponsive and on a breathing machine. He
has bones sticking out of one of his arms, broken collar bones and many
other broken bones. The bones in his face are crushed and they may have to
amputate an arm. The doctors are worried about brain damage. He needs
surgery but is not stable enough at this time. He has two small children 2
and 5 years old. Please seek a miracle for him. They just dedicated their
new church building last weekend.

More details.
Bro. Lesh was in ortho surgery because his right arm was almost severed and they were trying to stabilize it to try and save it. One of his temples was crushed into his brain. His spleen was bleeding and other bruising internally. Both collar bones are broken. One leg is broken. He is at a Trauma Center Hospital. He is under the care of an orthopedic doctor, a neurosurgeon, and a trauma doctor. They had him stabilized. They said it would be a long road to recovery. But we know a great BIG GOD! Pray for his family and his church.
This is what I know about the accident....
He was alone in his little Toyota pickup. It had been raining. He ran off the road, over-corrected and swiped another vehicle, ran off the road, flipped, and was ejected out of the truck. This all happened about 2:30, but (according to his mom) his wallet was left at the scene of the accident and they couldn't notify his family. They took him to a nearby hospital and stabilized him, then flew him to the Trauma Hospital. Jen got so worried, she called the police and finally about 6 PM, the hospital called her! How awful!

Thank you for the prayers for my husband. He was involved in a head-on collision on April 30th between Union and St. Clair in Missouri around 2 in the afternoon. He was ejected from his Nissan Frontier after he hydroplaned (it was raining) and lost control of the vehicle. He hit a Ford pick-up truck. The only passenger was the driver and he was un-hurt except for a broken toe. (Thank the Lord.) Lesh suffered multiple injuries that include:
C2 fracture (neck)
several skull fractures in his right temporal lobe area
brain contusion
lung contusion
internal bleeding and brusing of spleen
right scapular fracture
right and left clavicle fractures
right and left cheek bone fractures
compound protruding fractures in his right arm
left femur fracture
left tibia fracture
left fibula fracture
several rib fractures
road rash on his back and shoulders
large bruised area on right leg and side
We have had a scare or two along the way with an elevated heart rate (over 210), however God corrected during prayer with Brother Jerry Jones. Lesh was transferred from St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur to the St. John's Mercy Rehab Hospital in Chesterfield on Monday. He is expected to make a full recovery. We give all glory to Jesus for this. He has had people on nearly every continent praying for him. Amazing. Thank you for your continued prayers for him, our family, and our church. God is using this accident to allow us to witness to so many people..His ways are above ours.
