This thread is for those of us who spend a large part of our lives in waiting...
waiting for spouses...
waiting for church...
waiting at the Doctor...
waiting on the kids at soccer...
waiting for clients...
waiting on anyone for anything...
For me it's a big thing on Sundays...
Who are you waiting on?

God.
I seem to spend most of my time doing this. I'm learning to just roll with it.
Earlier I *was* waiting on kids, but then one of them came up SICK and explained why I kept having to wait on her. So we stopped waiting and tucked her into bed.

See what I mean folks?
So, are you still waiting? ;)
I spend a lot of my time waiting for my family. I suppose they would say they spend a lot of theirs waiting on me.

Waiting on the women folk to get dressed so we can go to church.
Waiting on the women folk to stop chatting so we can go home.
Waiting on the exceedingly inefficient McDonalds employees to get a move on.
Waiting on Tuesday because (on Saturday) the McDonalds drive through said that they wouldn't have any more tea until TUESDAY. WHAT??

This is by far the worst. What's wrong with them?

And that particular McDonalds shares a building with a Super Walmart... Uh... Hello?
Did you forget the recipe?
You know Walmart sells tea... right?

And I read this after doing nothing but waiting -usually to cross the road on the Strip.

Well....This I can probably answer. We couldn't make tea (very easily at least!) with tea from Walmart. We've improvised...quite a bit. It's probably what sets the place I work at apart from lesser such establishments (oy..it's all fast food though...this sounds funny..lol)
That said...drive 1 mile to the next McDonald's and get tea. Tuesday? Seriously? When we run out of something it's until we find a store that has it and drive to get it (or have them bring it).

Ok. I'm waiting today!
For my daughter's eardrum to rupture so she'll stop crying!
She won't let me put garlic oil in it and she won't lay on the heating pad.
Yes I feel bad for her. Ear pain is the worst!

Mine ruptured a few weeks ago when we went to the Grand Canyon. It DOES hurt, but at least it heals fast.
(I still get 1 to 4 major ear infections a year. Most kids grow out of them. I never did.)

LOL... a little huh?
It isn't that way so much where we go now... but when we were in Louisiana I always parked right at where the sidewalk ended in the parking lot... on the right hand side.
That way while I was waiting on my wife to decide that it was time to stop talking to the people that we were fixing to go to a restaurant with anyway... I could at least visit with others as they walked by.
One brother stopped by one night and said "Brother... you have a lot of patience." :)
But... I have noticed that even when we had to come in 2 vehicles for some reason... I still wait on her. :) 'Cause she's mine and I just don't feel like I've gone anywhere until we've gone there together.

It's funny. We park the car. All us guys get out and shut our doors. Then we stand there and wait for Mom. How could it possibly take that long to get out of a car????
