The PRIMARY value of prayer is for humanity to discover and willingly submit to the will of God in all humility.

This does not prevent us from expressing our desires and wishes to God, but ultimately we must accept his will and find peace and contentment therein.

Perhaps God treats us as though He did not already know. Maybe God has the ability to forget certain things if He desires.

God uses prayer as a vehicle to accomplish his will. That is why we pray for the lost or for our loved ones to be saved. God is outside of time but I am not sure that this means that it is all figured out. The result of our final destination is ultimately left up to God and his sovereign grace.

Sometimes you just have to pray for strength to endure. Because there are so many sad and pitiful people in this world.

Scripture supports God changing his mind based on prayer.

I pray because I can!
I count it a great privilege to pray!

Why pray? Because it was important enough to have been written of 512 times in the Bible.(KJV)

Prayer - 114 times
Pray - 313 times
Prayed - 65 times
Praying - 20 times

And because whether God already knows the outcome or not, HE DOES ANSWER PRAYER!!
