My daughter and her family were at the Wolfchase Mall in Memphis Saturday and she had the kids in a department store shopping cart. She started into the elevator to go to another floor, and a wheel broke on the cart, throwing the children out.
Ashton (4) was sitting on the bottom so he only tumbled a few inches. He was more surprised than hurt, but Eliza (13 months) was buckled in the front. The cart hit so hard that she was thrown anyway, and she hit her head on the concrete.
She was transported by ambulance to LeBonheur Children's Hospital to be checked, and was released to go home. Last night, she noticed a place on her head that had started swelling, so she took her to a convenient care walk-in clinic in Jackson. They sent her the ER, she had a cat scan done and they found a fracture in her skull, and bleeding. They have taken her back to Memphis to LeBonheur, and have done another scan there.
They are waiting on the results of the scan, but Jon and I are leaving at 8:00 to go on over there, because I don't want them to be by themselves.
Please pray that nothing serious is wrong, and I will update as soon as possible.
