I had posted about my late Grandmother, Lizzie Blakey, the first of our
family to hear and obey Apostolic truth.

http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com/showthread.php?t=15547

This is the generations of our family (and there are other of our family
members that embraced this truth also.) But I am speaking of my line
of the family, beginning with the eldest, our firstborn daughter who turned
49 last week.

Grandma Lizzie Blakey - First convert
Her son, Robert L. Blakey, my father.
Me - Falla39, and my firstborn, Glenna,
Glenna - her first firstborn, Philip
Philip - and we just learned his firstborn is on the way-
??? - will take us into the 6th generation of Apostolic Truth.
The New Testament Plan of Salvation...in His Blood.

Two cups, one choice. The cup or Blessings OR the cup of
cursing.

Matthew 26:26-29 KJV
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

I can testify that many in our family have tasted the cup offered first to
Grandma Lizzie and her son, to me, (along with my ten siblings and their
families. To our children and to their children. And now to our first little
GREAT grandchild we found out about yesterday, Father's Day!! Forty nine
years ago, our firstborn
was born on Father's Day! This will be her first Grandchild. The beginning
of the 6th generation who will have partaken of this cup of Blessings, in His
Blood.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!

Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

I wrote a post April 1, 2009, and later e-mailed it to many friends and family
members, entitling it in my e-mail, "The Blessings of A Wise Decision". I feel to
post again today.

"The Blessings Of A Wise Decision"

The thing about it is that we will either be blessed or cursed. If we choose not the
blessings of the Lord, many times we, in essence, choose for our children and our
grandchildren and succeeding generations.

For example, my family and I are living off of the blessings of a decision a little
Methodist grandmother made. My late father and mother, followed and also
embraced that decision for their family. I saw the blessings that followed their
family and many others that chose that path. Today our children and grand-
children are enjoying the blessings of decisions that were made by those going
before.

Oh, how I thank God for giving them the wisdom and fortitude to make the
right decisions. They didn't make those decisions based on any organization
as they did not know about organizations. They followed the leading of the
Holy Ghost they had received. The Spirit of Truth that would lead and guide
them into all truth. They counted on the Word of God to do just that, by the
Spirit that now dwelled in them.

Money cannot buy what was given me and mine. But I had to receive those
blessings for myself. We each have to receive that which is set before us, for
our generation.

Each generation should receive it as an inheritance and pass it on as a legacy
to their children, to pass on to their children's children.

We receive as an inheritance and pass on as a legacy.

I have seen generations that inherited a bad inheritance BUT was offered
a part of someone else's legacy, and gratefully received it and changed the
direction of their family.
I know a sister from Germany that came to the states as a child. She and
her mother was offered a part of someone else's legacy and partook of it and
for nearly 30 yrs have enjoyed the same legacy left to my family by that one
little grandmother and those who received it.
No. not everyone will realize the value of what was given them as an inherit-
ance but I do. It is the most valuable possession I own. Thank you, Jesus!

That sister has offered her children and grandchildren a portion of what was
shared with her from another's inheritance, but so far they know that it is a
good thing but some have chosen to revert back to the old former ways and
natural inheritance of their forefathers.

God gave His Son the nations (heathen) for an inheritance. For the joy set before him,
he endured the Cross, despising the shame, died for you and me. He saw us from the
Cross and endured it to save us. He died that we might live. But we have to receive
what he purchased for us. Life more abundantly. Eternal life.

Lord I Lift Your Name on High
By: Donnie McClurkin

Lord I lift Your Name on High,
Lord I love to sing Your praises,
I'm so glad You're in my life,
I'm so glad You came to save us.
repeat

You came from Heaven to Earth,
To show The Way,
From the Earth to The Cross,
My debt You paid,
From The Cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky,
Lord I lift Your Name on High

Just some thoughts this morning that might give hope to a listening or
hearing ear.

Hugs, Falla39

If you are alive today, and have not done so, why not change your will and make a wise choice
today, based on better things, and better promises, for your family.

Sis. Falla,

Congratulations on soon becoming a Great Grandmother!

I love reading about your family's history. It is wonderful how the choices of former generations continue to bear fruit in the present.

God Bless,

Thank you, Sis. Sinatra,

We all can make the choice for future generations. If only people
would realize that GOD is NO RESPECTOR of persons. It's every one's
individual choice. I have read and heard discussed generational curses.
Don't recall hearing too much about GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS!!! But I
think it's about time to count our many blessings, naming them ONE BY
ONE!!

Thanks, Brother,

I never dreamed it would be SO exciting! You just wait until you
are told you are going to be a "grandpa" for the first time. Bill didn't
like it at first. He was around 45 yrs. old and he said R. wasn't satis-
fied to steal his daughter, but adding insult to injury, by wanting to make
him a "grandpa" too. The closer Philip's arrival came, the more excited
he got. Now at 71 he thinks no one has kids and grandkids like his kids
and grandkids. LOL!!

Dear Brother, (sibling)
Back in my archives I found this link from June 2009. We were
fixing to have our first GREAT-Grandchild in a short time. You had not
yet become a Grandfather. Our adult children were planning our 50th
Wedding Anniversary at Coventry. Now we will observe our 53rd Anniv.
next month. We are NOW expecting our 2nd Great-Grandchild, and you
and Darlene are expecting your 2nd Grandchild. Since 2009, much has
become a reality and yet much is yet to come, and to continue.

And YOU are fixing to have another BIRTHDAY, June 30th!

Yes, much has transpired and more of God's best is to come. It is a great time to be alive, I am looking forward to all the Father has to show His mighty works and His love for His creation. Just returned from four days in Charleston, SC, with some great new friends. Exploring ideas and plans for ministry to special needs and their families. Coventry is influencing folks with the heart to love and care for the least among us out of state now.
