I just heard that Farrah Fawcett died - may have spelled her name wrong. I remember when all the girls wanted those Farrah flyaway bangs back in the 70's. She fought hard against cancer, but the cancer finally won.

All I remember is when I was in middle school all of us puberty stricken guys wanted a poster of her,we thought she was hot.

I never was that blown away by her myself. But she did put up a valiant fight against the cancer.
It is hard to believe she was 62.

Everytime I hear news like this, it reminds me exactly how fleeting life is. There's something unique to me about when actors and actresses die, because you can go back and see them in their prime when they were full of life and future...then with almost omniscience, be able to tell the end of their story. It's as if this day was the last thing on their minds.
I may just be weird, but that always makes me reflect on life and being conscious of living each day to the fullest. There is an omniscient God who knows how and when my story will end.

So now I am looking to hear about at least one more celebrity death.
They usually die in three's. Has anyone else ever heard that before?

I think you make some good points. I like to think about the same types of things.

Sounds like you're a prophet, Jermyn. Reportedly Michael Jackson has died.
Wow.
I had such a huge crush on Farrah Fawcett back in my High School days when Charlies Angels was on and Farrah mania had taken the nation by storm.

I was still in grade school back then but boy even this ULTRA CON kid had a huge crush on her. I had one of the t-shirts with her in the bikini. looking back I can not believe my mom and dad let me have it.
See, it is their fault that I grew up to be liberal. =)

When I was 17 every morning when I got out of bed my feet were put down on a full color pic of FF on a throw rug. It was not the bikini pic but she was beautiful. That was a great way to start the day! My High School dream was to have FF as a date to the prom. LOL!!!

She looked like she could've seriously hurt a guy.

Ahhhh the peace that is within a mindset that doesn't have to do anything because it's "the style" or someone popular does it.

I agree with that. But, why are you singing Eddie James STYLE??? :ursofunny
Several reasons...
It is his song.
I like to sing in the same manner but if I said I was singing D4T style it wouldn't mean anything to all but a few on here. :)
When I am rich and famous I will say D4T style. But... until then... it isn't a good frame of reference. :)

We thought it was up in a closet at his mom's house, but we never found it. It will be worth more now.
That red swimsuit poster was a best seller back then.
It would probably be worth a lot now if you have any copies in your possession.

I asked my husband if what you say here is correct. He said, "No, they did use the term Redneck back then."
And, BTW, ILG knows I am joking with her. :D

The term redneck was used but not just because you carried 'that comb'. To have you hair done like FF was not redneck that was fashion back in the day. Lord knows a few could use a little fashion in todays world. I have seen some hair styles today that could use those FF wings. =) Might improve their look.
And when did you think it was okay to "JOKE" this is an APOSTOLIC FORUM you know.

If you notice, I highlighted the part about the comb - thus - I WAS referring to the comb as Redneck. Of course, the haircut isn't redneck - good grief - I wore it (and I know I wasn't a Redneck!) and more feathered after I graduated. :D I was totally sick of having my hair done - Lord! What an ordeal!!! Rent, car payment and hairdresser! LOL!
You are right about the hair do's these days - and I'm not talking about the Apostolic women. Most women look like they don't wash or comb their hair and that's fashion?! Take a look when you are at the mall - frumpy! Yuck!
