No doctrine will save anyone.

If the Apostles doctrine (teaching) is what Christ told them to teach how to be saved, then nothing else matters.

What is the Apostiles Doctrine Nahkoe?
What is the Apostiles Doctrine Nahkoe?
Nahkoe has an opinion and so do the rest of us and each one's opinion is different than the others.

Acts 2:38 is a small but important part of the apostles doctrine. If we want to enter the kingdom of Elohim we must abide in it. Not just Acts 2:38 but the whole counsel of God.

What is the "everything else" that can be denounced, while still keeping the apostle's doctrine and be saved?
I would say that for one to be a member of GOD's church, then belief in the apostle's doctrine would be a necessity.

Paul said doctrine saves.
13: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14: Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16: Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 Tim. 4:13-16
If one takes no heed to the doctrine he will not be saved.

Lots of people have repented been baptised in jesus name some of them never speak in tongues as proof of the holyghost so what was peter saying when he said...and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. just something to think about for the tongues as evidence folks....LOL

It's not very good evidence, if it can easily be faked and not be "discerned".
If anyone thinks they can always tell when it's fake, I could show up at your church, in cognito, and easily demonstrate that you're wrong.

I think when Peter was talking to these people he was directly talking to them and is not refering to us he was telling them what to do it was directed at them at that time and place...

Taking heed to and continuing in the doctrine saves us . ;)
1 Timothy 4:16 KJV Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
I think this is what this thread implied.
Acts 2:42 KJV And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

If the question as to what people should do has not changed (Acts 2:37), why should we change the answer, (Acts 2:38)?

Why did the people in Samaria not have the Holy Ghost since they got Baptized (baptism implies they obviously believed and repented), until Peter and John later came down to and ministered to them?

What did Simon the former sorceror see that he did not see before when the apostles laid their hands on people and they got the Holy Ghost? he saw devils cast out and people healed. But he never offered money for what he saw in those things. But when he saw the apostles lay hands on the people and they got the Spirit, what did he see to make him want to pay money for that same giving of the Spirit? I think it was more than watching hands on someone's head. :D
Answer: Must have been tongues, I think.

Thats a real big assuption especiallly since it does not say what he specifically saw..

All you have said here is true, Timmy, but God knows. Isn't he the one we have to answer to? Yes, he is.

When you account for all the other times where tongues was involved, it makes more sense than anything else. I mean, he never sought to buy power to cast out devils or heal the sick. But something must have been greater than that for him to want to buy what he saw when they laid hands on the people and they got the Spirit.

Well sure, God knows everything! So evidence can't be for His benefit, can it? I just find it strange to call something evidence that isn't really evidence. Not to mention all the signs and "fruit" that are supposed to be how the world knows you are Christ's followers, and that you have the Holy Spirit. (Lots of unbelievers exhibit those signs and fruit, and some believers don't.)

right, taking heed to the doctrine not the doctrine itself. only Jesus saves :thumbsup :doggyrun
