I don't know about illegally downloading movies but I do know that there are a lot of current and classic TV episodes you can watch in almost cable TV quality for free on Hulu (www.hulu.com).

I like some of the old 1960's shows like "It Take's A Thief" and they have all three seasons of it on there for free. They have other good old shows like "The Time Tunnel", "Ironside" etc and new ones as well.

The quality is amazing. I can sit in bed at night with my laptop and watch these old shows full screen in quality almost as good as std. definition cable or satellite.

These are free because you have to watch commercials during the program just as you would if they were being broadcast on TV but the commercial breaks are only 30 seconds long and only about four per hour show.

Also, if you can eat 16 or 17 bucks a month, Netflix has streaming movies in addition to their 2 or 3 at a time DVD rentals by mail.

Ahh - it's not stealing --- it's not like you're taking something AWAY from someone else. They still have a copy. :lol

We have Netflix--it's much cheaper than renting from Blockbuster, NO late fees, and it's LEGAL.
