This is the first time all week I've been able to use the internet and say "Praise the Lord from Kenya" to all my AFF friends!! We have had an awesome conference, which ended today (Sat.) and tomorrow we will minister in four churches (4 of us). Eddie and I will be at the headquarters church in Bukempe and Pastor Philip and Pastor Brad will minister in 3 churches in Eldoret while we are gone, because it's an hour and a half drive for us each way and we are staying right here in Eldoret.

The first night we had 15 pastors & wives filled with the Holy Ghost. There are a lot of pastors at the conference from all kinds of backgrounds. All of our Love & Truth pastors and wives have been there too and I was so excited to get to spend time with them again.

Let's see.........new experiences for the two pastors who went with us.........they each kissed a giraffe and they got to eat goat. I LOVE this country!!

I got to see all three of my little Kenyan Sherri's and got pictures made with them. Such cuties! Today we bought little Eddie a soccer ball, a lime green bicycle, and a backpack for school - he will be SO excited tomorrow!

I have gotten up and spoken Swahili every time; they were so excited that I could speak their language, even though I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes. It was worth all the studying to see the looks on their faces. They are such precious people and I cried when we left today.

We were able to bless all the Love & Truth pastors with a new dress shirt and a flashlight and a mosquito net, as well as some shillings. The wives got gift bags and LOTS of clothing for their children. That was fun - we laid out all the children's clothes by size and then turned them loose to get five items each. It was like a 90% off sale at Walmart; it was great!!

God has been good and I dread leaving. My only consolation is that I get to gear up for my trip to Brazil in October! I guess I should pick up a few Portuguese phrases before then.

Keep praying for us; the trip home is very long. It was 26 hours travel and that's the only part I hate.

Sherri, it sounds great. Glad things are going well and pray your trip home is peaceful and uneventful.

I can tell you share the enthusiasm for travel that my wife and I have as well. It is a rewarding experience, and I am glad you can minister while there also.

We are at the hotel in Nairobi, getting ready to fly out in about 6 hours. We're very tired, but excited at what all has happened here. Eddie and I went to our Headquarter's church on Sunday and there were about 20 people filled with the Holy Ghost there - still waiting to find out exactly how many. There were about 15 signed up to get baptized. They have to rent a place to baptize, so it's not just like they can do it on the spot.

Pastor Brad and Pastor Philip stayed in Eldoret and ministered in 3 churches on Sunday while we were gone to Bukempe. That was an awesome experience for both of them, who had never been to Africa before this trip. They sang and preached at them all, and were split up for two of them. It's a strange feeling to be all alone in Africa with no cell phone coverage or anything, but they did great!

Today, we have been hanging out with the UPC missionary here, who has been extremely kind to us. We've shopped and shopped for last minute things to take home. We went to a Maasai Market in town, as well as some stores downtown. We had Indian food that was amazing!

Pray that we will have a smooth and safe journey home! Thanks for everyone who has prayed for us on this trip.
