My son asked his girlfriend of two years to marry him yesterday!

It was a beautiful day! He met her after her art class for a picnic lunch on the town square and had a friend secretly taking pictures to capture the whole story!

Awesome pictures!

Renda,

Talking about making beautiful memories!!:happydance :happydance

What a lovely girl! What a handsome sweet-looking son you have.

May God's blessings rest on them as they began their lives together,

in Jesus Name!

We have six (three of each) adult children, who are married to their

original spouses. The youngest married ten years, the oldest married

25 yrs. The others, 13 yrs, 15 yrs, 18 yrs. and 19 yrs. These unions

have given my husband and I nineteen beautiful grandchildren, the

oldest 23, the youngest 1. 14 g-sons, and 5 g-daughters. All are SO

very special. We are there for wisdom and advice, IF they ask! We walk

before them as examples who they can follow until they learn how to walk

with God on their own. The ones we followed have gone out of sight. We

now are in the "lead" position. What an awesome responsibility!! But we have

learned to follow after the GOD of those who went before us!!

Someone is going to influence them! It might as well be us!!

As each of our children married, we received their choice as our choice.

We never think of them as our son and his wife, or our daughter and her

husband. we think of each couple as adults, who we will respect as having

their own family now. They will replace us when we are gone to keep the

family of God growing and continuing in this world. May all who come behind

us find us faithful!

Blessings,

Falla39

What a neat thing to highlight in the newspaper! When a daughter of a friend of mine got engaged, it just so happened that the bride and groom to be went to Sunday School together and they acted out the wedding as bride and groom where Jesus turned the water into wine in their 5 year old SS class. Their former SS school teacher sent the story into Paul Harvey. He featured their story on the radio. They used the taped radio story with pictures as part of their wedding.

If you don't have time to get to the beauty salon you could put some of that white tape on the edges of your toes. You know the kind they use to bandage wounds? It might work!!! Is that tape waterproof?, hmmmmm....

Renda,

Just hold your head up high and be your bright and happy self. Weddings, birth of grandbabies, and holidays have a whole different flavor after divorce. This I cannot deny. But God's grace is sufficient.

Be Blessed, Rhoni

As a wedding gift to my son, his bride surprised him at the end of the ceremony by having a sextet from G.E. Patterson's church sing a medley of gospel songs - they blew the place away!!! She wanted to surprise me too - she said when her and my son started dating that when she would come our house I would always have awesome, soulful gospel music playing and she had never heard anything like it and she loved it!

This picture above is them singing again at the outdoor's reception! Here they are singing - "Source of Strength" It was beautiful!!!!

Thank you CB1.

My son escourted me down the aisle so that was a special moment and I'm sure I was biting my bottom lip to keep from crying!! I did cry a bit, but I didn't boohoo......when saying their vows they both cried and I've NEVER seen a couple look each other in the eyes so deeply - - it was just too hard not to cry!

I felt great in my 'mother of groom' dress - - I switched jackets, so it's different a bit from the original picture I posted when I bought it - - this one was prettier from the back - - lol!

They came back here to look at their wedding pictures online and have a bowl of chili before heading to their house as hubby and wife!

They said they had so much to do tomorrow - thinking they have to move all her clothes, zillion pairs of shoes and presents, etc.

They will be surprised when they get there and realize it's already done for them!!!!
