Sorry to hear that. I will be praying for her.
At this time, they are still running tests to determine the full extent of Shelley's injuries. The last word we had just before church was dismissed tonight was that one of her legs was broken, one hip joint had been crushed, and she had a broken wrist.
I should receive any additional updates as soon as they come through from our pastor who is there-- since I am on the church prayer chain. I'll update again when I know more.
Continued prayers would be appreciated.
Prayers would be appreciated as well for the person in the other vehicle involved in the head on collision. He is the nephew of a couple who attends our church. His name is Kevin-- he was also airlifted to the med, and they lost him three times in transit but he has been stablized now and they are taking him into surgery.

Great LORD GOD, We humbly ask that you would touch Shelley and the
driver, Kevin, that was in the other car, in Jesus Name! Thank YOU for
that you will do for this woman and man.

Praying!
Shelly was in surgery today from a little after 8am till about 5pm. The last update I received was about 5:30pm-- she was in recovery talking to the nurses. The doctor came out and told the family that she did well during surgery, and they were able to put in all the rods, pins & plates that were needed.
There were also some small fractures in her back that they had expressed some concern about at first (which I wasn't aware of last night) but now they say that those are expected to heal just fine on their own without the need for bracing or any surgery.
If all goes well, the physical therapist will come in tomorrow to help her learn a few tricks on how to use her elbows to raise herself up for a while-- because she isn't going to have use of her left hand, leg or foot for quite some time. (All broken bones were to the left side of her body)
Kevin has massive internal injuries, and will require more surgeries later from what I've been told. The surgery on him last night was mainly to stop internal bleeding from those injuries. At the last report, he was still on the critical but stable list.
Thanks everyone for praying. I'm sure both families would appreciate continued prayers for recovery.
