I have an older brother who has not been in church for many years. He has been a recovering alcoholic for about 20 years. He has been a smoker for many years and is overweight. Tonight his son took him to the ER with chest pains. The doctor confirmed that he had a heart attack and they are talking about doing a heart cath and have called in a cardiologist.
Pete has been baptized and was filled with the Holy Ghost many years ago but stopped going to church around 35+ years ago.
I would appreciate it if you would remember him in prayer.

Great and Almighty LORD GOD! We humbly ask that You would touch Bro.Mark's
brother. Speak to his heart and draw this brother once again by Your Spirit, in
Jesus Name. Let Him feel Your Divine Presence once again, and we thank You
for Your Mercy and what You will do for Pete, in Jesus Name!

jaxfam6, I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying.
My Mom was a smoker (3+ packs a day) for 40 years. She was also an alcoholic for 36 years. Through much prayer and fasting, a little over 5 years ago, I was able to see my Mom come back to God!!!! She was INSTANTLY delivered from alcohol and cigarrettes!!! I KNOW God can do the same for Pete.
I am sharing this with you because I have faith the Lord can use this situation to draw your brother back to Him. It's my prayer that the Lord will stir up a hunger in your brother that only HE can satisfy. It is also my prayer that God will heal your brother, both body and spirit. In Jesus name, Sinatra

I will sure be praying for Pete, Jax.
My husband had a heart attack a few years ago. He went to bed early one night, said he was just so weak and tired. Of course he has worked over 30 years with a 4 hour commute hundreds of miles away. He had been delivered from alcohol and smoking. Well the next morning he went to the doctor. They put him in an ambulance and sent him to the hospital. He had all the same things done and was put on medication, plus he's a diabetic. But he is doing fine on the meds. I will be praying that your precious brother will be healed, and come back to the Lord. God is faithful.

I am praying the same thing. Thank you. He has a tender heart toward things of God but does not give himself over to God. May God use this as a tool to draw him back to where he needs to be.

Thank you all for your prayers. I have only gotten partial information because they called before I was up and they were all in church before I could call them back. BUT, my brother did have a heart attack with minimal damage done. Not yet sure what they plan but will let you know when I do find out later today. Thank you God for your protective and healing power.

Spoke with my sisters. Pete had blockage on the left side and they put a stent in. minimal damage done to the heart but he was advised he needs to make some MAJOR lifestyle changes. The pastor of the church where my sister and mother go was in pray with him earlier.
They are saying he should be out in a couple of days.
Again, thank you all for your prayers
I look forward to seeing God complete His work in my brothers lives. He is not the only one no longer serving God, I have two others also not serving God as they should.
