I hate to be wasteful-
Wouldn't it be nice if we could trade our leftovers??

I have a mountain of Macaroni and Cheese so high, that to even mention mac and cheese my family turns a lovely shade of green.

So here is my idea,
What would you do with leftover Mac and Cheese (besides adding milk and reheating)

What gave me the idea was that I also have about 3 cups of spinach dip leftover and I put it in a search engine to find that you can make a fabulous quiche with leftover spinach dip! We are having it for dinner tomorrow! (the second choice was spinach dip stuffed chicken breasts)

What do you have leftover that you would like recipe ideas for?

Turkey? Ham? Mashed Potatoes?

Have you had those mac and cheese balls that they are selling in restaurants lately? I've never made them, but they look like they took a spoon of mac and cheese, formed it into a ball, dipped it in egg, then dipped it in Jiffy Corn Muffin mix (maybe they did that twice?). Then they drop those in the deep fryer.

Definitely NOT healthy - but then neither is mac and cheese. That's what I made for supper tonight. Mac and cheese with bacon mixed in. Yum

I actually just looked up the recipe and it says that you can make ahead and freeze these- Maybe I will do that, they they wont even realize its leftovers when I serve them in 2 weeks!

I try to avoid having leftovers---ever. :jolly

I will allow leftover chilie or stew.

Most things aren't that great the 2nd time around. I put leftovers in proper plastic containers and these are placed in the freezer and on rare occasions are recycled into some sort of casserole.

I have many unclaimed leftovers in the freezer looking for a home.:christmoose

I freeze a most of my leftovers and recycle them in a couple of weeks. My left over roast beef ( my husband will not eat leftover roast) so I chip it up and mix in barbeque sauce and freeze it in small containers for BB beef sandwiches. I have even started freezing mashed potatoes- in scoop size mounds. They freeze well. Just call me the freezer queen!!!

Leftover mac and cheese at my house becomes tuna casserole, chilli mac, spaghetti-ish goulash, and creamy soups (ie broccoli soup with macaroni noodles).

Or take it to work and let all your coworkers eat it for you!
