New to AFF and feel kinda like I'm wandering in the wilderness, not know the ropes nor how to use them. Will look and listen and see if in time I might not be able to add something to a forum that I have been watching now for many weeks. Know some of the members and others that I would sure like to get to know.
Great to be with you.

Welcome, BT, you'll learn the ropes quickly! Say whatever you want, just don't call anyone names, and don't promote sin:nutso

Thanks! No names! No sin! What is sin? From what I've been seeing on AFF that is a highly debated question. :D Will always endeavor to avoid what the Bible declares as sin. (What translation should I use for this?):nutso

What's your name, where are you from, where do you live now, who's your mom and dad, how old are you, are you married or single, do you have any children, if so what are their names and ages, what church do you go to, who's your pastor, are you a preacher, pastor, church board member, are you conservative, liberal, or a moderate, are you a democrat or republican, what kind of work do you do if you work? If there are any more questions please ask and we will try to fill you in on everything you always wanted to know about yourself.

By now, he's probably thinkin' "That Cindy sure do answer alot of questions". And, "If thinkin' got Timmy to where he is, maybe I need to stop thinkin'!" And maybe "Whats an intelligent person like OneAccord doing in a looney bin like this????"
And, while I'm at it.... Texas is a GREAT place to be from. A LOOOOONG way from!

BTW I don't live in MO right now. But I love the state and the people.

Welcome BT, what have you been thinking about lately? :D
Well I BeenThinkin.... do I want to talk about the beard that my wife won't let me grow, (but some have said I'm not manly if I don't have it), or do I want to talk about "did God die?" I know I didn't hear anything about his funeral. I read that entire post and I don't know for sure who I am now! I wish we could simply let the Bible say what it says, without private interpretation.
We build entire doctrines on one scripture about how our women must dress, and yet can't let the MANY scriptures say who the Son was.
We quote a scripture that says God is a spirit and then in the next breath proclaim that He is flesh.
And then we suddenly discover that somewhere there is a woman pastor. Oh, God forbid. Now which God is doing the forbidding? (Now I didn't say that there was anything wrong with a woman pastor...someone else did! I also didn't say it was okay. GUESS!!) Yep! I BeenThinkin! And then I saw the thread about "HUMILITY." I'm humble and proud of it and wrote a book on how I got that way.
And one more note before I quit rambling... I bet some of the founders of OP would preach you into hell for having an Apostolic Friends Forum. Oops I said "I bet!" that would get me in trouble too.
I guess it's time I QuitThinkin! Did I get off topic? I'm sorry! Don't tell Renda.:nutso

Ramble away BT. And if all else fails, smack some people to get their attention. (Except your wife, of course.) If you like, I can help with that.:)

Yes, and now I'm picking myself back up.
I always think it's funny how the "Oldbies" on AFF give the "Newbies" advice on how to survive, and how one needs thick skin, and rough it can get.
I thought Christian was kind, gracious, loving, long-suffering, gentle, peaceful, joyful....seems like a Christian forum would be an easy place to survive.
Oh no wait, those were the Fruit of the Spirit. I forgot.

NoW I had already figured out from several weeks of observing, before joining, that AFF wasn't for a softie. I guess it does get pretty rough...rough enough to run off one named Epley! I think I was in a church many years ago where the pastor was friends of Bro. Epley. The pastor's initials were CWS. Talking about rough!!! I grew up in rough!!!!:nutso

Nope... Guess again. I don't recall Spurgeon being in Texas. The CWS that I'm speaking of use to get on radio and say, "Bless God, you cigarette smoking, beer guzzling, short wearing, picture show going reprobates are all going to hell!!! And he meant it, too. Oh what lovely memories of the past.
