Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am obviously from Australia, I joined this site to understand how apostles are recoginised and more importantly how to encourage them to step forward and learn how the new testament model of ministry (not leadership) is supposed to actually work. I have a keen desire to see the five fold ministry be raised up and to see ministry whose focus is salvation via the blood of the lamb on the cross and then to grow up to the fullness according to Ephesians 4.
In Australia we have a plethora of Life Coaching which is taking the place of pastoring and descipleship, with repentance, sin and hell removed from the agenda, I realise that some of you may be for life coaching or even be life coaches, I have nothing against life coaching as I am a sales trainer and put together a system called NU U however it was not intended to be used in conjunction with a christian walk and certainly not inplace of it. Either the Lord put a stop to it or I just did not have the goods to get it off the ground but I am still glad I am now focussing on the power and life in the cross.
I think it was leonard Ravenhill or maybe Wilkerson who had a Sermon titled "Another Gospel" on a sermon site. I was unable to read it as I am still battleing with a unix type of system that had difficulty with Utube and sound sysytems, however we are to bare our cross with joy, Gladdly the crossed eyed bear. However it appears from some study recently that this soft gospel that is seeker friendly and so prevelant today has been around since Adam was a boy, well not quite. I heard one chap say that the mormans were OK, the Jews did not need the blood of Jesus to go to heaven, Hindus and Muslim were OK and who openly admited that he did not read the bible much nor did he look at what the mormans believed because he knew that God loves them and who are we to be legalistic and say they weren't going to make the grade. All I can say is we must be near the end.
I believe that the various ascention gifts submit to each other in their respective areas of ministry without a "top dog" obvioulsy apart from Christ the only mediator. I find it a bit strange to think that Apostles and Prophet are required to be in submission to a local pastor, except for pastoral issues.(same for evangelists and Teachers) Just does not seem right, like the old testament High Priest, with priest then Levities. Senior Pastor equates well to the High priest in this model and then have all the rest of the five fold ministry as priests in submission to him. Hope this is clear what I am trying to convey. It hurts to move from a model we are comforable with however I have no doubt that we will have to but I do not know how it will work yet and would like some assistance if you have some understanding.
My function is not that of an Apostle however I look forward to interacting with you in the future.
Anyway that is a snapshot of me and I wish you all the best in Christ.
Regards Wombat
