Elder Epley just called to say that Sis. Epley's father, Bro. Nolan Abernathy, passed away at St. Francis hospital in Memphis, TN.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Please remember Sis. Epley and her family in prayer.

Nolan George Abernathy

Funeral services for Rev. Nolan Abernathy will be on Thursday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gospel Tabernacle with Bro. Gary Hodum officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Rev. Abernathy died at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the age of 73. He was born on August 4, 1936 to the late Milan and Lena Bach Abernathy. He was a retired minister.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Abernathy and two sisters, Colene Clausel and Virginia Brady.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Abernathy; four daughters, Sherah Moss and her husband Jeffery, Timna Murphy and her husband Milford, Kathy Crossen, and Sheryl Epley and her husband Steve; three sons, Nolan Abernathy and his wife Camilla, Nathan Abernathy and his wife Angela, and Stephen Abernathy; 16 grandchildren, Summer, Destinee, Britanny, Autumn, Pamela, Charity, Ladonna, Nathaniel, Jason, Joanna, Joshua, Joel, Johnny, Justin, Tyler, and Kimberlin; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Don, Charles, and Berlin Abernathy.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2010 at the Gospel Tabernacle.
