I was speaking to someone today and she brought up this denomination. I was quite startled because how she described it seemed nothing like the apostolic most of us are familiar with. I couldn't find very much information about it on google. I just thought it was interesting.

That name is a fairly common name, used by some black Apostolic congregations.

The Apostolic church down the street from my house in Baltimore is called Apostolic Church of God. They are part of a small organization and I cannot remember the name of it.

Well, what she described wasn't much like apostolic. Jewelry, painted nails and all that kinda stuff were common practice.

stuff like that is found in some of the African-American as well as Caucasian Oneness Pentecostal churches.

Hmmm.... I was not of the opinion that most "Apostolic" churches were necessarily also the conservative standards type.
