My name is Mark and I attend Oil City UPC.
I am origially from Chalmette (South East of New Orleans) and grew up in the First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette (Home of the Chalmette Gospel Brass). I moved to Oil City from Chalmette in August 2005. In November 2005 I moved to Lafayette and back again in Feburary 2009.
Now I sing in the Choir and Praise Team and help out with various other ministries and helps in the church.

Yeah... back in the day Oil City UPC was a pretty happening place. My assumption would be that this is still the case. :)

Welcome.

The congregation has gone through some very dry times, but the spirit of revival has returned and burns stronger now than ever before.

Reverand Kent Rhoads is our pastor. He is the youngest son of the late Milton Andrew Rhoads, Sr. and the brother of Missionary to Suriname, Phillip Rhoads

I am sorry to hear about the dry times but excited to hear that those times are behind the church at Oil City.
