While enjoying the "Steadfast relaxation thread" I had this travelling spirit come on me and I've been shopping the airlines ever since......
But I'm torn...I'd love to go to NYC for a weekend, just my mom, myself and my little girl...or perhaps Chicago with my husband.
Maybe Gatlinburg or something..I dont know. Too many choices.
I'd like some input, some suggestions. Or perhaps you'd just like to share your ideal getaway. Location, lodging details, insider tips etc...please share.
I dont know where you all are, but I'm in the St Louis area, right smack dab in the middle I'd say - so I think I could go just about anywhere..within reason.
But I think the NYC trip is a definate - my mothers day present to myself and my mom :)
but what about all the other weekends? :)
any input? Ideas, wild ramblings?

There's too many!!! The Wisconsin Dells are a beautiful place to go. I've been thru there and I loved it. When children are with me, I enjoy going to museums, parks of any kind.... When just my husband and I, I enjoy places like the Sybaris suites... very relaxing!
For me, I can travel anywhere.........I have that gypsy spirit!

My wife and I visited Las Wages last year for 4 days....and have Zero Desire to go back...
the best day we had was going out to Hoover Dam... and that was getting out of Vegas...
I would not recommend any christian or apostolic going to Vegas... there's just nothing there for Christians to do.. imo...
Nudity everwhere... we were shocked at the amount of advertising for adults..

I love NEW YORK!!! I go every year if I can get away. My daughter and I went last time, just to shop and hang out. It's my favorite!
I want to go to Chicago just to relax and shop too. Never been there, except for conferences or church services. I'm sure it's alot like NY, if you know where to go.

Victoria, B.C. is a wonderful long weekend destination! It is SO gorgeous. Not too big. Not too small. Relaxing and beautiful situated on Vancouver Island.
I'd recommend a visit there to anybody!

How well I remember the weekend I was there. Mission Valley, Taking the Tram and walking into Tijuana.
Coronado Island.... the view down by the lighthouse.. Watching them fish from the Harbor Pier. That resturant next to the cruise ships.
Next time, I will have to say hello to our favorite San Diegan!
