I don't think so.......mainly because it's just down right UGLY!!!!!Most are, but the point is that it is OK to wear them if the pants are rolled up, even if it is to the same length that "other" shorts would come to.

This thread reminds me of a time when I was playing racquetball with a man who is a well respected minister and (I hate labels or albles as NLYP calls em) would be considered an ultra con. I did not want to offend him so I showed up in a long sleeve shirt and we started playing, he was very good, better than I. I did notice however that the longer we played and the hotter we got, the more he pushed them sleeves up, by the end of the game they were shorter than my sleeves would have been (Which I do not push up) had I worn my shirt that I didnt want to offend him with..... I just laughed.....it was funny.........when I ask him about it he had some remark....but the point was made....

I was going to wear golf shorts while playing with a certain minister, but I chose not to. He asked me in the car if my pastor asked me not to wear shorts regardless of the fact that shorts really didn't have anything to do with modesty, would I comply?

I think I changed the subject. :slaphappy

For real and their knotty knees don't do much for me either!

Once upon a time, a church asked me to be their pastor. I told them they did not know me well enough to be considering it. In the course of our discussion, I asked how they would feel if they drove by and their pastor was mowing his lawn in shorts.

I then explained that I wear nothing above the knee, and if a woman was lusting over my calves, she had deeper issues anyway. LOL!

They voted me in, but I didn't accept.

Me either!!! I don't know what's worse... a man thinking that their knees and elbows may make someone "stumble" or us having to pray for the man that had a heat stroke cause they were mowing their yard in a suit! :laffatu

If they have a yard in their suite, they are taking way too much of the tithes......:lol

I don't mow the yard in a suit, but I do mow it in long blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I have never had a heat stroke and my yard in a little over an acre, which I mow with a walk behind mower.
