How can I import cds into my computer then back them up into a separate hard drive? If I import into itunes, I don't know how to export from itunes into harddrive. I don't know where to import my cds or how to export from itunes, windows mediaplayer, or real player. can anyone help?

Are you looking for software that can pull songs off your CDs and convert them into MP3 files on your computer ?

Use Media Player or whatever to rip the CDs. Go to where the CDs were ripped to and copy every folder to your backup Hard drive or use whatever program you were using to make backups to the other hard drive to make a back up of the music folders

They are usually defaulted to "mydocuments/mymusic"
But if you open WMP then at the top you see "rip". It has a drop down arrow. If you hit that and get a menu click on "More Options". It will show you were the files are saved at

or you can right click on the top bar and get a menu. Go to tools/options/Rip music

You can also change location where music is ripped to.

Also WMP can sync to other devices, not sure about external hard drives though

This web site offers a free basic version of their software, when you rip the songs it places them on your desktop and you can copy and paste them into a folder, after pasting it in the folder just delete the songs off your desktop.
