Not really...the church I love, but not the song. It should be lumped in with "I'm a Pentetalkstill"

Somebody sent me the words:

It was On the Day of Pentecost
They were all in one accord
When the Holy Ghost fell on them
As promised by our Lord
It was noised abroad and the multitude came
then Peter prophesied and about 3000 souls
was added to The Church of Jesus Christ!

Do you love it! Do you love it! The Church of Jesus Christ
It's the only Name under heaven that’ll give you eternal life!
It's build upon the solid rock it forever will stand!
Against all other false names that's been devised by man!

God spoke to David many years ago and told him to build a house
that He might place his name there and never be taken out,
some call their way Apostolic church others call it Pentecost
but except you be in The Church of Jesus Christ your soul will surely be lost!

Are they saying that if you call your church Apostolic or Pentecostal your soul is lost, that it must be called "The Church of Jesus Christ"?

If so this is a new level of Pentecostal pretzel logic.

Funny....a 4 million dollar electric drum set in the middle of that hideous music.

There are some Oneness Pentecostals that believe and teach that the one true church, the Body of Christ is properly and scripturally named "The Church of Jesus Christ" -no more and no less. Some teach that the church building or the church name should only be "The Church of Jesus Christ." Some teach that it is a form of idolatry to have anything other than "The Church of Jesus Christ" on a sign outside of or on the building. Some teach that if you pay tithes to a church which is called anything other than "The Church of Jesus Christ" that you are cursed. This is a minority opinion among Oneness Pentecostals.

Are these snake handling folks singing this song? Most of the time their churches have this name with " Signs Following" added in there somewhere.

The persons singing the song and the person who gave me the words are from two separate OP organizations and neither group believe in snake handling. The organization to which the young man who gave me the words belongs has the following in their manual/bylaws:
Serpent and Snake Handling
We stand firmly against the so called "Serpent Seed" doctrine. We further believe Adam to
be Cain's natural father and believe the fruit Eve was tempted with to be a fruit, not an act!
Also, we firmly stand against the handling or "taking up" of snakes in a worship service. We
believe to do so is to tempt the Lord and it is firmly condemned by the Scriptures.

The copy of the bylaws that I have is from 2007 but I am sure there has been no change to that section.
