Greetings!

This weekend, Bishop Wade and Bishop Ray Young will be traveling to Pinehurst, Texas, a suburb of Houston, to be with Joan Hunter and her ministry team. For those of you who are "old dogs" in the Full Gospel Movement, Joan is the daughter of Francis Hunter, of the "Happy Hunters" fame back in the 70's and 80's. Joan has inherited her mother's healing mantle and has taken the ministry to new heights and remarkable results in seeing people saved, healed and delivered. Bishop Young had the privilege of meeting Joan and her team when they came to Clarksville, Indiana for a Healing Conference. Through a strange but divinely appointed set of circumstances, he ended up sharing a little about ICOF with one of Joan's daughters. The rest is told by Bishop Young:

"The next day, Curtis Wilkie, Joan's Manager, sought me out and began a dialogue with ICOF which has brought us to this point. On Saturday, Bishop Wade and I will be presenting Joan with her PhD in Ministry. The many in-depth books she has written served as her defacto doctoral dissertation. After reading way too many blindingly dull academic polemics, it was a breath of fresh air to be able to read books that actually ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST. Joan's personal testimony is awesome. Her book on how to heal the sick is both practical and inspirational. I haven't even had time to dig into her extensive analysis of emotional conditions as they relate to physical illness, but I have enough experience in this area to know that she is right on in her analysis. In addition to granting Joan her doctorate, ICOF is also commissioning Joan's ministry to create a series of classes to help individuals to learn how to heal the sick AND get Bible College credit for it at the same time! I talked with Curtis Wilke about this briefly yesterday and he informed me that they already have 21 hours of video teaching on healing the sick, about 2/3rds of it from Charles and Francis Hunter, a.k.a. "The Happy Hunters" and about 1/3rd of it from Joan's own substantial contributions to their work. Bishop Wade and I will make the presentation of the PhD and the announcement of the Healing School arrangement on Saturday. We are scheduled to do this at 1:11 PM CST (2:11 EST). The entire event will be streamed live from Joan's WorldWide Day of Healing Service. To watch the event, which runs from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM CST, just go to the ICOF Home Page, www.icof.net, and look in the lower right hand corner for a "News Flash!" announcement underneath and slightly to the left of the Joan Hunter Ministry logo, a globe with a heart and a cross on it. Just click on the logo and it will take you into Joan's web site to her streaming video link and you can watch all of this happen on your own PC."

Sincerely,

International Circle of Faith (ICOF)
