It's not often that I want to take a two by four to someone's head for rank stupidity, but this is one of those times.
A prominent Wisconsin district attorney sent repeated text messages trying to spark an affair with a domestic abuse victim while he was prosecuting her ex-boyfriend, a police report shows.
The 26-year-old woman complained last year to police after receiving 30 texts from Calumet County District Attorney Kenneth Kratz in three days, according to the report obtained by The Associated Press.

The DA says the texts were "not sexual" but the first paragraph of this article (http://www.jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/103052699.html) cites one of the phrases. It's so insanely unprofessional, I can't even hardly believe it.
So, should this guy resign? I think so.

Obama's friend Kiwame Kilpatrick Mayor of Detroit conducted an electronic relationship. This is normal for Democrats. For Republicans. don't ever tap a shoe on the floor except when you are in church.

This is illegal misconduct on his part. It goes beyond resignation.
Suspend his lisence.

No details ... but about 8 or 9 years ago I could relate with the boyfriend in all this ... sans the being charged with any crimes ... actually might be the other way around :).... when I went through a similar experience where I had to communicate to the person in authority who was making appointments ... that appeared to be "welcomed" :bigbaby
Throw the book at him.

This is Kwame incident. Text message issues.
Kwame paid money to the cops to silence the case.

Kwame's house arrest kept him form celebrating the nomination of BH Obama at the Democrat National Convention.

Then Senator Obama had this to say:
“So I want to first of all acknowledge your great mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, who has been on the frontlines — has been on the frontlines doing an outstanding job of gathering together the leadership at every level in Detroit to bring about the kind of renaissance that all of us anticipate for this great city.
And he is a leader not just here in Detroit, not just in Michigan, but all across the country. People look to him. We know that he is going to be doing astounding things for many years to come.
And so I’m grateful to call him a friend and a colleague. And I’m looking forward to a lengthy collaboration in terms of making sure that Detroit does well in the future.”

I was wrong and should not have characterized your statement affirming the President's friendship with Detroit's ex-Mayor the way I did.
I was wrong and I apologize.

It was a valid argument for Kiwame to want to get to see his friend nominated in Denver. One of the judges wouldn't let him leave the state.

The DA in question is identified as being a "Republican" in the news article. I don't get the "foot tapping" remark either. Maybe coadie was reaching for the idea that Republicans are held to a different set of standards? I find that this is often the case.
The POTUS throughout most of the 1990s was a known sexual predator who confronted, groped and corralled younger women for his sexual gratification. He didn't "lose his job" over this kind of behavior.

Idaho senator busted at the Minneapolis airport. Involved some sort of foot tapping.

I see. I guess it was confusing because this DA is Republican and so obviously way beyond being unjustly accused or persecuted. I didn't connect the toe tapping because I think Senator Craig did a bit more than just tap his feet in his stall...or church for that matter :). Or maybe I was just having a "slow" day.
