View Full Version : New Here
Hello, everyone...
I'm new here. Have been lurking for about a month and thought I'd join.
There are many characters here that I really like, such as Mr. Smith, Sam, Timmy, coadie, and many others.
You are quite a gang of folks.
I am NOT filled with the Holy Spirit, but have attended a UPC church with my wife, on and off, mostly off for the last decade or so, since 1986.
So, I'm very aware of what Apostolic Pentecostalism is about. Well, at least from an "outsiders" perspective.
I've prayed to Jesus, and felt his presence, so I know HE IS REAL. So, at least, I got that going for me.
I've been water baptized in Jesus name by a UPC preacher, so got that going for me as well, I suppose.
Hope to join in the fun here. You all, as you get to know me, will probably think me a "weirdo", as I got a real 'out there' personality.
Anyway, here I am, warts and all.

Welcome. Feel right at home here. Just be who you are and don't change because anyone told you too, unless it is God. It is good that you were baptized, but your walk is your walk. Just remember God's Grace covers everything you could do. As long as you are open to God's Grace that is what matters. Again welcome to AFF.
Welcome to the group.
As you've noticed, we are a pretty diverse group.
OK, so apparently my old avatar didn't go over too well. Does Chaplin's tramp character pass the test?

My Avatar changes every so often.
Some times I'm Kenneth Haney, some times George Clooney, or someone else.
And, usually I use a picture of myself. My current Avatar is a picture of me taken a couple of years ago. We were in a Halloween store picking out costumes for some of our grandkids and I saw this hat with a blond wig. When I tried it on someone took a picture and here it is.
Well, I did google "Adam" and clicked images to find something related to the Bible, and all I found was paintings of Adam with a tiny fig leaf.

If you post a picture of yourself with just a fig leaf you will probably hear from one of the administrators.

You remind me of Johnny Carson in your present avatar.

I have a feeling that it will take much less than that from me to rattle the admin's. I'm off to a good start on that already, apparently.

God rejected their fig leaf aprons (KJV) or breeches (Geneva Bible) or loin cloths (CJB, ESV) or coverings (NIV) or makeshift clothes (The Message) or apronlike girdles (Amplified Bible) ref Genesis 3:7 and made coats of skin (KJV) for them. We don't know just how long or how large these garments/coats/tunics were but we do know that the one for Eve was not bifurcated.
