Rachel
Alisa-great happiness
Bell/Isabell-God's promise
Bethia-promise of Jehovah

There is a whole list of over 40 here: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search/0/hebrew/10
I simply ran a search for Hebrew names. You can look up girls' names or boys' individually.

My granddaughter's name is Eliza. In Hebrew the meaning is "Oath of God".

I heard a girls name the other day and loved it. Selah - - pronounced Say-la.
It's biblical too!

My daughter is Alia -> Hebrew: to ascend, to go up

Not really all that fitting for a kid, who, if left to her own devices won't "ascend, go up" off of the mattress until around 2 in the afternoon.

Had it all to do over again I would probably just call her Fred.

The problem with names meaning: "gift of God" kids too often grow up thinking "Yep, God's gift, thats me...."

i worked with a girl named La Joshica

I heard a story the other day about a girl with a "-" in the middle of her name. I wish I could remember what it was. But anyway the mother was mad because the teachers at this little girls school couldnt pronounce it right. the "-" was actually prounced "dash"

SEROUSLY!

I've always prefer for just a 3-letter-word but Sunday is really nice to hear.
