There is going to be a new Conservative magazine put out by a member of the forum.
The Name is the Apostolic Compass
The editor is Elder James Groce of Molino, Fl.
The assistant editor is Russell Fraizer of Fontana, Ca.
The Board of Pulbications are as following:
Jonathan Alvear, Sulphur , La.
Phillip Burbridge, Mineral Ridge, Oh.
John Burgess, Colorado Springs, Co.
Steve Epley, Mitchell, In.
Ron Garrett, Phoenix, Az.
Kent Jordan, Indianapolis, In.
Jim Lee, Pasagoula, Ms.
Gregory Riggen, Olathe, Ks.
The Apostolic Compass will be charting the Old Paths in a New World.
We hope to have it going by the end of the year. This will NOT be an organ of any organization but rather trancending organizational boundaries for conservative Apostolic preachers and churches.

Having seen first hand what the end results are when one is always seeking for a "fresh revelation", I think I will just stay with the tried and true gospel of the kingdom, and leave the rest to others.
Right - Some people's God stopped speaking 2000 years ago - but mine still speaks today!
The Voice of God is always present - It goes forth constantly and consistently! Our God did not stop speaking 2000 years ago - He continues to direct His people daily.
Isn't it so very sad that people are always seeking God and getting Fresh Revelation - Fresh Bread!
People that have made God's and Idols out of the old bread - just cannot see the importance of eating the Fresh - the Best!
I like how Mark Hanby said it - If Abraham had been a Pentecostal - he would have killed Isaac! God did say to slay him - to sacrifice him - but then God said later - STOP! Did Abraham say - Oh NO - I am going to KILL him - God you told me to so I have to obey! But Thank God that Abraham listened to the Proceeding Voice of God! God is always speaking but we are not always listening.
Rap, blues, jazz, gospel, country, rock, pop, R & B and many more kinds of Music - plus preaching, news, traffic, weather and much more is going forth 24/7 on radio. We are not hearing it - because we are not turned to that frequency. If we will listen and hear the Voice of God - will can walk in the NEWNESS & FRESHNESS of GOD in our lives!

I am not the least offended I figured on this when I posted about the magazine. And NO it has nothing to do with any organization it is totally an independent work done by the cooperation of these brethren listed. Yes it will be unapologetic Conservative in tone and tenor. We are excited and are already hearing form preachers across the nation. There is void for this type of magazine.

I am certain issues of the day will be commented on however we are not going to be a hit magazine like a anti-UPC or anti-AMF or any other anti mag.
Of course some issues as television advertizing is a hot button issue so I wouldn't be suprized if it wasn't addressed.

They need a magazine too! "The Heckle and Jeckyl" Hecklers with a split personalty disorder.
Where those who only fit in Christian coffee houses can go when thrown out.

Will the Black Apostolic Brethren with facial hair be allowed to advertise?
I wonder how many Black Brethren are on the board of this new Magazine and how many will be allowed to write and post their pictures?

There is certainly no bias on this board because of race if that is what you are implying. Many good Elders are worthy of various racial & ethnic backgrounds and those considerstions did not remotely come into play. How many blacks are on this forum or administration? But I do not think the forum is racist.

I can't wait to get the first issues. God bless you good brethern.

I feel that way politically I am a registered Republican but three Democrats are our leading canidates. I don't want to quit the Republican party but I may not vote this election. Unless they get Fred Thompson to run I guess I will stay home. The social issues have taken me to the polls and the judges who will be appointed. If pressure had not been put on Bush he would have appointed a maybe instead of a sure thing so I doubt his conservatism. But pressure prevailed and we got teo good judges. I do not believe any of the leading three will give us conservative judges.

Further, the man could twist either of us into pretzles when it comes to theological understanding and discourse. But to hear you say it, the topics are ignorant and senseless. Go figure...

Personally, if I did not know who the owners were, and had no idea who started it, and had only read for a couple of weeks, I might come to the same conclusion. No doubt he meant what he said. He just did not intend it for the actual owners of the Forum. Ever considered that he may not have known who the actual owners were? Oh my, perish the thought! Because there is absolutely no way you have ever, ever posted or said something similar, is there?

Really? Bro, in all honesty mine are anthills compared to ya'lls. Makes you the champion though. Relish the moment.
Someday you may see the differrence between true dogpiling and defending those piled on. There is indeed a difference. My posting, in these cases is always defensive to another post. I am not sure you would find a handful of offensive type posts where I started the piling. There is a difference.

I have many of the older publication from the 70 until now. I find that there where much better articles on doctrine and teachings than now.
They are so afraid that something will be offensive or controversial that there's not much there.

I know what you mean. It has been just ages since I have seen the Pentecoctal Herald or the Forward address the real important issues of our day like;
*The sin of short sleeve shirts
* Red- The Devil's color
* Open Toed Shoes - Greasing The Road To hell

The thing that bothers me is that there is ONE article translated into Spanish (I assume you are talking about the Pennycostal Harold).
"Cinco de mayo means the Hispanics out number us 5 to 1!" *

Bro. Epley- I know of and respect some of the names mentioned. (I don't know the others). Nevertheless, I would be happy to write a couple of articles to help with circulation. Just let me know. ;)
