View Full Version : One Last Thank You...

Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. I'm presently at Bro. Ken Bow's house in Seattle and will embark on a 7 day Alaska cruise tomorrow. Hoping to get the rest I need and then return to 'fix' this health problem.
Obviously my next step will be determined by how I respond to this 'spur of the moment' opportunity to rest. I made a few promises to my oldest son yesterday (along with my Bishop) and it's time that I cut back on my schedule and give more to taking care of myself. I may have kept my youthful figure but I'm getting older all the time... need to do it now while I'm still able.
I have some great friends who are on the forum and many more who would become dear friends given the chance to be together. I can only say, yet once again, thank you.
God's good... those of you who prayed are gracious... and I'm outa here for a little rest.

Wish you well...and blessings.
May the Hand of Almighty God rest upon you, dear brother and wife.
May His love surround you as you embark on this time of rest and renewal.
May His Hand rest upon and surround your family and church family at home.
May Our Faithful Friend assure you that everything at home is in His Hands
and you have absolutely nothing to worry about! Jesus told His disciples to
"come apart and rest a while", Our Lord knew the importance of resting our
bodies and minds! We must allow His wisdom and words to direct us day by
day. May you be renewed in body, spirit and mind, in JESUS NAME!!
Blessings and best wishes,

Hey Brother, Take a couple good books (non religious) with you - I recommend anything by John Grisham. It will help rest your mind. Remember on the cruise - you do NOT have to get off at every port - most of them in Alaska are not worth getting off for anyway - way too expensive. Just rest! Most people think they HAVE to get off when the ship ports - but you don't. Just rest! My wife usually stays in bed the entire first day and night we cruise - she is usually so tired she just takes the entire week to rest and read.
I pray you will enjoy it - please let me know your thoughts on the cruise and the ship when you return. I pray that God will replenish and refresh you while you are away. God bless you. Please give Pastor Bow our love and greet him for us. Bless you,
AP

Happy sails, our friend...
Did you take your speedos with you?
Just curious.
:D
Steadfast,
I am not sure one week is enough time to totally unwind. You might consider extending the vacation another week by going from Seattle to Colorado.
The mountains are beautiful and I understand that Greeley is great this time of year. That would be a good place to kick back for a week or two and relax. However, a word of warning, don't take a home video camera with you! LOL!!
