View Full Version : Apostolic? Friends?:-)

This is for everyone who doesn't have a life. Kind of ironic, the name of this forum is Apostolic Friends. Having read some of the threads, AFF Doesn't sound to friendly. "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples.....". Apostolic? I know "Apostolic". I know "Friends". A "Friend" loveth at ALL times. Are there any Friends here or just "Apostolics"? By the way.....Before you ask.....I am Apostolic/Pentecostal.

Hi Robby. Before you ask, I am not. :)

P.S. Since this is for everyone who doesn't have a life, probably you won't get many responses. I have a life but am having some downtime at the moment.

Some are both, some aren't. Some are one and not always the other. We are all however, people. Welcome to AFF.

Not really. Being not something does not tell me what you currently are.

For example if I asked "what football team do you like" and you replied "well Im an x-redskins fan" does not answer the question of what football team do you like :-)

Baptist? trinitarian? Methodist?

Robby, just remember this: It isn't a sin to be annoying. ;)

Also, family members don't always agree with one another. At least, that's how it is in our house. We still love each other, though.

Salt does cause irritation. Sometimes the light is to bright. From all appearances being a member of this forum qualifies one to say anything about anyone. All under the guise of "truth". Don't misunderstand, I love truth. Still in all, just being a member of this forum does not give us a monopoly on truth or the right to offend.

Is this post about doctrinal positions, gossipy threads or both? :coffee2

I think you carried the salt analogy way too far! :) Jesus wasn't telling us to irritate others because salt irritates things. He was telling us to preserve and redeem the world around us, because that's what salt does.

Speaking of analogies, if you really wanted to make a difference, and that was your mission on AFF (God-called you to AFF), you may want to try honey instead of vinegar. With your type of introduction, you will only attract flies.

Good luck, Prophet Robby.

Gossipy threads. These do tremendous harm. If you cannot support your case without using personal references, you have a weak case. This thread is about positive affirmation, not negative defamation.

Hi! I am apostolic. Friendly? Well? I will let you be the judge to that. But I wanted to say, Hi. I just joined AFF last nite. I was searching for a gospel song and somehow came across this site. So I figured that since I was Apostolic that I would join it to check it out.

I would really rather not get into it. I believe in God. Beyond that, I am pretty open and I don't wish to argue with anyone about anything. Morally, I am pretty conservative. That's about it.

Im not trying to argue with you. Just trying to understand what ex-apostolic means

For all I know you call yourself that because you reject standards but still believe in Oneness or Acts 2:38
