We have been having some minor shakes, 2.0 up to 3.5 . But last night at about 11 pm we had 4.7 in Greenbriar, AR. (about 35 miles, from me)

Never been in an earthquake before, so it really kinda tripped me out. Me and the wife are laying in bed on our laptops and watching the debil box when the bed starts shaking, not a hard shake, just kinda like one of us was shaking our foot to the beat of music just hard enough to shake the bed a little. I actually asked my wife if she was doing this and she said "no, why." I'm like "ok, why is the bed shaking ?" then she realized what I was feeling, it went on for about 22 seconds.

Was really freaky feeling.

My daughter had just returned to the dorms in Arkadelphia when it hit. She was freaking out. Living all of her life in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas that was her first earthquake.

Are you going to WinterJam? :)

It's October 17, 1989. The phone rings. I answer. My mother says "We're OK!". I say "Glad to hear it!" I was not watching TV at the time, or I'd know she was talking about the Loma Prieta Earthquake, aka The World Series Earthquake.

I get all the news I need from my mom. :lol

I've experienced 3 quakes. Two of them I felt and the third I did not. In both cases where I felt them, it was just a very mild shaking. Novel experience for sure.

I just want to know why you and your wife were on top of your laptops. Aren't they normally supposed be on your lap? :heeheehee

Yeah. A blow dryer will do if you don't have a laptop handy. :)
