View Full Version : On The Cusp of Something Big

Apprehended

Hebrews 12:26-30 (King James Version)

26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29For our God is a consuming fire.

My advice is: Get prepared.

I don't know what it is but we are on the cusp of something really big. If you can't detect it in the Spirit then at least, like Jesus said, we should be able to perceive something big coming down the pike if but for no other reason than our ability to tell winter is coming on by the changing of the seasons and a natural ability to discern the times.

Get so hid far away in God that nothing can find you.... There is such a place in God.

Things in the spirit world are in a huge upheaval. There was no wonder that it was manifested in the natural recently. All things in the natural flow out of the spirit realm and is manifested in the natural. Things are crumbling down...

Recently someone prophesied that "tanks would be rolling in the streets of America." Rage, like flames from an uncontrollable fire is lashing out and will not stop until it has accomplished its end...not just in the Arab States. The anger is everywhere and will not be quelled. Be wary of those who prophesy "peace, peace and safety." There is none.

Who is responsible for this? God is sending a shaking unlike in days gone by when the mountain was thrashed as a branch in a cyclone at the fearful sound of his voice. Oh no, this shaking is in the heavens. It cannot help but be revealed on all spiritual levels in this hour when the lid from the pit has been lifted and evil spirits as an invading horde from hell are turned loose upon the earth. All things that can be shaken shall be shaken.

The world is about to be shocked. The people of God who have not hid themselves away in the ROCK is about to be thrashed as well. It is going to take more of God to survive in this hour than ever before. Good old time religion is not going to continue rocking on just like it always has. The whole religious rocking chair is about to be thrown upside down. All these spiritual money changers and merchants are about to experience the sting of the whip from Him who once wielded it in the natural so long ago. Your own faith is about to be sorely tested.

If you read this...don't mock.

Yes sir, it is.

Like a radar signal bouncing off an approaching object, the signal is returning much faster now.

Reminds me of this particular exchange.

Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

I have related so much to Frodo and, particularly Sam. Everyone should see or read LOTR. Awesome story.

This is one of my favorite parts of this series. Sometimes things aren't as they appear, and judging by the extremes that surround us can be driven by emotion, not truth.

I must mock. Just like you must feel validated when something bad happens. Something bad will happen and I don't have to be a prophet to say that because something bad always happens.

You won't heed my words just as I won't head yours but I will tell you anyways. What you call spiritual is not. Get closer to God and leave behind these vain discernings and prophecies and you will then be spiritual.

Tanks will not roll through America any time soon but maybe they will one far away day? Who can tell? That is the only thing that's holding me back from calling that prophet you cited a false prophet. Even so, I would advise him to repent for presenting his prophecy as imminent when it is not.

As your other answerer's have pointed out, it usually passes and the reason is that when we give up that anticipation the coming awakening never happens.

Sister,

Scoffers will always be true to their nature. They will mock and scoff because that is what they are. Not too pleasing to heaven, to be sure. It seems anytime you express your feelings on a public forum, the mockers come out of the woodwork. This has been the routine since time began. We should not expect anything to change.

Anyway,

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Perfect love cast out fear regardless of the shaking that is ahead. I have no idea how far ahead these things might be. I never called myself a prophet or even intimated such a vaunted idea of myself.

The answer to all of this is always simply "Jesus". Stay Christ-centered, Christ-focused, Christ-impassioned, Christ-secured, Christ-living. Whether the upheaval is global or personal, you will possess the peace of God, the provision of God, the protection of God. He is my salvation. If I live in peace and prosperity, praise God. If the world comes crashing down around me, I will praise Him!

When God prophesied the Babylonian captivity, He told the prophet to tell the king that there was nothing he could do to change the judgment, it was settled. If he would embrace God's decision, the captivity would go well with him. But he warned the king that if he resisted the inevitable, he would be destroyed and his sons.

Judgment is coming to the world for sin, that is a given. But to the elect, we are looking for our blessed hope, the coming of our Lord. I fear not what may come because I am saved by His grace through faith. I am His son and He is my Father. He will never leave nor forsake me.

Should we stockpile gold and food? That's up to you. Should we be frantic and fearful? Only if you aren't a child of God. Should we listen to the warnings of modern-day prophets? Sure, IF they are the real deal. There are a lot of prophet caricatures out there. We have enough prophecy in the Bible to help us discern the times.

Mostly let's keep it simple: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. My hope is built on nothing less...

... oops! Okay, "don't mock."

... but! But my own perspective, while similar to yours in many points, is a bit different. You see, I have always felt that there was always a climate where there could be "tanks in the streets" and etc.

But let's be realistic. There simply isn't enough armor in the US arsenal to "put tanks in the streets" of the United States. Some key points like Washington DC could be so defended, but I seriously doubt any Abrams tanks are likely to come rolling down your street.

The FBI and ATF as well as local law enforcement do have the "Fox" style armored personnel carriers (APCs) that could, by a stretch of the imagination, pass for "tanks." But even then, the inventories of such equipment is relatively sparse and reserved exclusively for confrontations like Waco, etc.

I remember Columbine, which happened not far from my home. We had what we thought was an entire high school of kids being held hostage and it took hours just to deploy enough guys with body armor to start clearing the school.

Two idiots with home-made bombs that didn't even work held us all "hostage" for hours; and then, as it turned out, most of the "hostages" simply ran away unharmed because the two idiots couldn't be everywhere at once. Those who were killed were mostly the ones who were ordered by their teacher to stay under their desks.

Such a clumsy and frankly, inept, act of overt and individualistic "terrorism" confounded city, state and Federal law enforcement - And you worry about "tanks in the streets?" I worry more about the "idiots."

And remember... I'm the one who accurately predicted the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in the "Sense of Dread" thread. So... my prediction?

"There's always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet..."

For whatever reason, to me, it seems like we might be on the cusp of something big. I don't even necessarily believe in biblical prophecy but I do read the headlines. I don't know that I feel a humunahumana from God, but I do feel a need to keep my eyes peeled and make some preparations because preparations are good whether they are for something "big" happening or for retirement. What I see now is:

A debt that is bigger than we have ever seen.
Unrest in the Middle East in a way we haven't seen before....it seems very interesting.
Japan's crisis.
Inflation.
A potential double dip recession.

I understand how people tire of constant Armageddon hype. But, things do happen.

Also, why do prophets always seem to play on our worst fears? Why is there never a prophecy about coming revival, blessing and prosperity?

I do believe there will be revival , but on what scale?, and who ? Revival can come because people get scared of what may be coming. [ or what they think is coming ] Prophesy has its place ,it does bring repentance [ sometimes ]. I do welcome a sobering warning . It makes me look at myself and judge myself if I am in the faith.
