A California school district has changed course after at first trying to ban a Christian song from a talent contest. A fifth grader wanted to dance to the song "We Shine" but was told by the school principal that the song was "offensive" and "a violation of church and state".

When the parents threatened to sue the school district relented and now after further consideration are changing their policy.
