one morning last year my husband was getting ready for work, i was needing some money but i didnt want to ask him for any he gives me so much every week for bills food etc..i reckon he assumes ive got money but i do not ask him for any.so i prayed and asked the lord to somehow make a way for me to get some cant even remember now what i needed it for but anyways,within about 10 minutes my husband walks in the bedroom looks at me and says "do you need any money" i said yeah if your gonna give me some i was thankin jesus let me tell ya,but it doesnt stop there. within 5 minutes of him giving me the money we got in this big arguement and of course i didnt keep my mouth shut, so i yelled to him in the heat of this fight do you want your money back? yes he said as a matter of fact i do and grabbed it and walked out the door.i felt terrible once he left was so sorry i even acted like that i repented,told the lord i knew i was wrong and asked if he would make another way somehow,the lord let me see that he answered my prayer but then the enemy was there to steal my blessing and i let him, a couple hours later i was standing washing dishes and my husband walks in its lunch time he doesnt say anything hes in a rush grabbing things out of the fridge to make him a sandwich im still washing dishes lol he starts in im getting a bit festered up if you know what i mean i was getting ready to retaliate with the lord said to me sternly i might add"SHUT YOUR MOUTH' i instantly clammed up and stared forwardwhen he got done i walked out of the kitchen quickly lol went to the bedroom and started folding clothes he follows me in the room turns the chair around directly in front of me and stares while eating his sandwich,loli just kept my head down and continued foldinghe kept saying he only had 10 minutes and had to drive back to the work site it took him 25 minutes to get home and 25 minutes to get back with only 10 min to spare he never comes home when hes that far away but gods in this lol hes says i gotta go walks out of the room turns right around comes back and says here hands me the 20 and says dont ever ask me if i want it back cause ill take it every time thank you jesus,this tho is what i want to say later on that night my husband told me when he left that morning he felt really bad about taking that 20 back when he got to work he shared what happened with a coworker he stated he was gonna drive all the way home at noon and see how i was gonna act to him and then that would make his decision if he gave it back to me or not lol,i passed but only from the help of the lord so i just wondered if anyone out there has ever had anything like this happen to them and hear the lord say shut your mouth,some people may say god wont speak to you like that well i beg to differ have you ever had to tell your child to shut up or be quiet sorry if i posted in the wrong place but it was on my heart this morning to share god bless in jesus name

Yes.

He has told me to "be quiet! Don't say another word!" far more often then He has told me to say something specific. In fact, I don't remember Him ever really telling me to actually say something.....

Yes, he's told me to keep my mouth shut lots of times.

All the time in many situations, even on here where verbal is not heard only felt. In public I have felt the Holy Ghost put me into check{ old term} during a conversation. Also when telling someone about Jesus if it was good time to speak, not speak, or when it would be good time to speak. Sometimes when working with a non- believer who I have been teaching and sharing scriptures with I have learned that sometime they are what I would call, in an off day. At that time it is not good to say anything to them. In my work place in the public eye there have been times when opportunity has presented it's self to say something that might appear to be a witness to others and the Lord has stopped me because Satan was laying a trap which would show up later or it was a time that Satan was trying to get a chance to oppose the word and make a mockery of it through the unbelievers.

The Almighty is generally somewhat terse and extremely reserved in His conversations with me. I try to take that as a cue.

Naw, apparently He likes when I stick my foot in my mouth. I have to apologize to two pastors this coming week. My pride will not permit it.
