Don't know for sure, but I think you need certain spices.

First you gotta put them in salt water to purge them. That gets all the junk out of them.
Then you go to your local grocery and get crawfish boil and boil them until done....usually about 10-15 min. Be sure to throw whole potatoes in with them for a good addition to the mudbug feast.

WASH THEM REALLY GOOD WITH SEVERAL BATHS OF WATER AND SALT...REMOVING THE MUD
ZATARAINS MAKES A GOOD CRAB BOIL OR SEAFOOD BOIL...GET SOME http://www.zatarains.com/Products/Boiled-Seafood.aspx
CHOP SOME ONIONS IN FOUR QUARTERS AND THROW UM IN
DO THE SAME WITH GARLIC, BUT YOU CAN USE THEM WHOLE
CUT SOME LEMONS IN HALF AND THROW UM IN
A TON OF SALT AND CAYENNE PEPPER
OH, AND DONT FORGET POTATOES, CORN, SAUSAGE, SOME EVEN PUT IN PIGS FEET (I DONT).
NOW...IT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY POUNDS YOU USE IN ORDER TO BALANCE THE SEASONINGS AND THE AMOUNT OF WATER YOU USE.
