Don't Ask Don't Tell.
I'm not sure what to think.

It always seemed to me that in any social or professional situation, "asking" is the height of impertinence and is not the thing a lady or gentleman would do. Similarly, "telling" is just TMI and not the sort of thing a lady or gentleman would bring up in these types of discussions.
The fact that the Libs hated this policy is just an indication that the modern "Liberal Movement" is not the abode of ladies and gentlemen. Politeness, common courtesy, mutual respect and honor are foreign words to these people. They lead off with the most sordid details of their own lives and demand that everyone within ear-shot crawl through the same gutters.
Now, that "gutter" is official policy. I desperately (desperately!) wish these sorts of details were just none of my business. I'm not a "homophobe" in that I "fear" homosexuality. I guess I'm just a "homophobe" in that it grosses me out. So please, "don't tell" and I will never "ask." Deal?

Great thoughts, Pel. I had an hour of sleep and worked a double shift. Can't collect thoughts. Have a good night. Oh ya. Watch out for Easty. He got biblical and is giving holy kisses.

I think DADT was a fine policy to help deal with a delicate issue.
From a strictly non-biblical point of view, I can see why letting DADT die would make sense. Still, flamers turn my stomach and in the military or not, I can choose to not associate with them any more than I have to.
It's the flaunting of that lifestyle as if it is a good thing is what I find so disrespectful.

I don't really want to know about anyones sex life, straight, gay, or whatever, I think everyone should be DADT.

I don't want to know, and I don't understand them feeling a need to tell me.

Forget the he/she Chaz Bono. I thought that show was lame right out of the gate. Never watched it - maybe saw clips, but never on purpose. The tripe and drivel they shovel out for the masses. No wonder we're in a Depression right now.

doh! Just gotta get rid of these bifocals. I can't read everything on the screen at once so I end up skipping past things.
Oh well. I hope the bot feels better. I try to be here for everyone... and everything.
