That's great Digger! The Lord God is good.

How have you been? Better sweep your chimney and hunker down for another cold one! :)

I've been doing well.

It is time for another chimney sweeping and I only have enough wood around here for the first few nights of cold weather. I need to get some wood pretty soon. It takes about 2 cords down here when I don't use any other heat but wood for the house and that is my plan for the second year in a row.

Do we count the times that we failed God in between how many times we repented?

Excellent. If you have the funds to spare a good insert is well worth the expense.

We love ours. We don't have a huge house but we keep the entire house warm using our insert. As a matter of fact if you're not careful you can get the place too hot and end up opening doors.

I am excited for you and yours.

For 20 years, I went to countless churches beyond my control and didn't know God like I know him now. For about 3 or 4 years, though, before I started searching for Him myself, I prayed and talked to Him, believing He heard me and was with me.

In June 2000, got serious and was baptized and filled with the Spirit. For the last 11 years, I've said, seen, and heard things I would take back in a heartbeat, while there are others I could say, see, and hear again and again.

Have I failed God? Sure. But, He's never forsaken me...His grace is far more reaching than I deserve. I've been blessed (and even hated) for the decision I made 11 years ago. Would I do it all over again? Yes, I would...with the same people, too, though some decisions would have been made slightly different for the sake of better outcomes.

Nevertheless, God is good all the time...

I'm 31, and I approve this message... :thumbsup

I can't remember ever NOT being involved in church. I repented and was baptized at seven, received the Holy Ghost at 15, and I guess that's when I really plugged in and said "YES" to whatever God wanted. So.........it's been a very long time (I'm 54).

Born and raised in the church.
According to UPC doctrine, 45 years, huh oh, I forgot to subtract the years since I became a liberal, believing all are going to eventually surrender to the irresistible Creator. LOL

I received the Holy Ghost the summer of 1958 at age 18. I had been raised and trained up in a godly apostolic Pentecostal home.

I met my husband to be shortly thereafter. He had just received the Holy Ghost also. We married in July of 1959.

Together we have been walking with the LORD for 53 yrs. He is 73. I turned 72 yrs last Sunday. Walking with the LORD and being married to the man HE gave me, just gets sweeter as the years go by! Did I say GOD IS GREAT and GREATLY to be PRAISED!

I have been since age 12. And beauty is that for many years that I have not been walking with Him (like I should), He's still been walking with me. This is a great truth I have discovered since giving up on the doctrine of the "'gotchya!' God".

I initially repented of my sins when I was 9. Was also baptized and filled w/the HG at the same age. That was back in 1978 and I am 42 now.:highfive
