Subject: Prayer Request for Bishop Kenneth F. Haney
Dear Ministers and friends,
I am writing on behalf of Sister Haney and the Haney family to request your prayers on behalf of Bishop Kenneth Haney. Bishop Haney went in for testing yesterday, September 22nd, and following a CAT scan and MRI, it was determined that he has a large tumor resting on his brain. The doctors have stated that it is inoperable by man, however, the Haney family is believing in the Great Physician for his healing. We are all trusting Him for the miracle to be done. Please join with us, and request that your churches join with us, in praying that God will be glorified one more time!
We deeply appreciate your prayers, and the outpouring of love that has already been felt. Beginning on Monday, September 26th, we will begin posting updates at www.clministry.com (http://www.clministry.com).
Please pray and believe God for a MIRACLE! We love and thank you.

Subject: Bishop Haney - Additional Information
We have just received this additional information which will provide you with a specific way to pray:
Bishop Haney has been suffering in his body and recently developed memory loss and disorientation - prompting the family to seek medical attention.
After several CAT scans and MRI's, it was determined that there is a large growth in his brain growing from the inside out. He was then taken to UC Davis Medical Center where Doctors confirmed the initial diagnosis.
It has been determined that no medical treatment is possible and the doctors have suggested we take Bishop Haney home and make him comfortable.
He has been given anywhere from one to three weeks to live.
We are asking that those members of the body of Christ whose lives have been touched by the ministry of Bishop Haney join with the family in prayers and fasting for our Dad that God would restore him to complete health.
THE FAMILY IS BELIEVING FOR A MIRACLE!!!!!!!!
From Sister Haney and family

Great LORD GOD,
We humbly pray for Bro. Kenneth Haney and his family. LORD, if it is Your time to take
Bro. Haney Home, then so be it. But if You would see fit to let him live longer, I pray You
would touch him and raise him up. LORD, You are able to heal Bro. Haney instantly as You
touched Grandma Lizzie in 1926 when she was dying of typhoid fever. You raised her
up and let her live until 1984. You are just as real as You were then. Thy WILL be Done!

The diagnosis has been given by those in the medical field! The prognosis as far as human ability has been determined.
BUT what will the GOD of the IMPOSSIBLE say! When man's ability has run out, GOD'S ABILITY has just BEGUN! For with GOD NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE. Luke 1:37

I have been praying for Bro. Haney and so has some of the members of my church. I pray that he recovers in short order.
I saw this on facebook, and went looking to verify it. I found both the
Apostolic News article and the link to CLC that proved too conclusive. We have lost a number of mighty men of God over the last several months, and we need to hold all of their families in prayer.

Reverend Kenneth Haney Update 10/03/11
Bishop Haney has been poring over his [famous] Legal Pad notes this morning. He has been talking about a conference he has been working on for young ministers. He said two days ago, "I've got to get the conference planned for the young ministers!" His vision is on his mind even during this health crisis. Last night he laughed and seemed very relaxed. This has to be the result of all the prayers around the world. Your PRAYERS are DEEPLY appreciated, as well as your LOVE that you have sent our way. Each day is a new day and every day we are expecting the miracle to be! It is all God's timing. He has ALL POWER in heaven, on the earth & under the earth! We are totally dependant on His power to HEAL and Believing for that to happen soon! Much love to all of you who care!

:heeheehee:heeheehee When I read this update earlier today, I had to laugh. Those of us who know Bishop Haney are VERY familiar with his famous yellow legal notepad. When he walked in with that legal pad, everyone knew it would be FILLED with his vision and projects. :thumbsup With some it even became a joke, if Brother Haney called to meet with you, if he had the yellow pad in his hand, you knew you were in for a big job to do. Sometimes more than you would think you could do; but, he would convince you that you could. :happydance
So very thankful that God is touching his body - We are praying and believing for a complete healing and that the tumor will completely shrink and melt away. That God may be glorified and the medical community astounded at the miracle!

Update for October 4th:
Last night we watched a preaching video of a message Mark Morgan preached at CLC in 2001. At the end, Brother Morgan began to talk about divine healing. We were all touched by the presence of the Lord that came into the room - it was very powerful! It was encouraging to hear Bishop Haney say, "The Lord is healing me!" We went to bed feeling refreshed in the Holy Ghost! But know again this morning, WE STILL NEED A MAJOR HEALING, SO PLEASE KEEP PRAYING! Our faith is strong in God along with yours & God is working! We are thankful for all the cards, PRAYERS, emails, texts, and all forms of communication from people who care and are praying for his healing. Our son shared with us that a Rabbi friend was praying a blessing for him also. We are thankful for ALL prayers! May God bless everyone DOUBLE today who is praying!

So, does God partially heal?
Not sure exactly what you mean by this question - but, what about the blind man that Jesus touched and said "I see men as trees". ??? Of course, Jesus touched him again and he saw clearly.
Who are we to question how and why God does things the way he does. Sometimes there are miraculous, instant healings (miracles) - and sometimes there is a "recovery" healing. I have experienced both.

Well, people are talking about the Holy Ghost filling the room. Is this a bit like God sorta-kinda-almost giving the Holy Ghost? If God's spirit filled the room but didn't heal someone, why would continual prayer finish the deal?

So your suppose to stop praying for it because Gods presence came but no healing?

There are several instances where it says "healed" and other instances where scripture says "made whole". Is this not two different levels of "healing"?

UPDATE for October 5th:
Last night we [Stephenie, Angela, Bishop & I] watched a preaching video with 2 messages on it preached by Anthony Mangun & Jeff Arnold. Wow did we have church! Bishop Haney was getting into the service & calling out the names of some of the preachers that were sitting on the platform. We felt God! I said about Bro Arnold, "He's something else :)!" Bishop said, "He sure is!" & chuckled.
It was a busy day with doorbell ringing bringing an edible arrangement from the John Larson family, some roses from the Fred Benkley's, our daughter Sherrie came by for a visit & brought a prayer shawl from her mother-in-law's church [I added that to the prayer quilt sent by Bro Ybarra's church in Hayward-which is placed over him at night], Pastor Haney [Nathaniel], his wife & 3 of their children came by & brought homemade chicken soup, Vangie [Bishop Haney's sister] brought organic chicken to be cooked later, Elizabeth & Stephenie ran errands for us & bought groceries, & Angela gave me a much needed foot rub last night!
In the midst of all the activity, Bishop Haney always has a Good Attitude! But he DESPERATELY needs a miracle: that the tumor would be removed completely!!!! Please continue your vigil of PRAYER! We want to hear him PREACH again!!! We want God to be glorified in this miracle!!! With God ALL things our possible!! He has ALL POWER! & it is a LIGHT thing for God to do! Thank you again for PRAYING!!! Thank you for your outpouring of LOVE!

Randy, when Walt's aneurysm ruptured, he should have died instantly. That's what NORMALLY happens in that situation. Instead he lived thru the surgery. When the doctor came out to talk to me, he commented that Walt should not be alive and that he could not guarantee that he would continue to live and if he did, he would almost certainly be a vegetable for the rest of his life. My comment to him was that we had been praying all the while Walt was in surgery and I was SURE that that was why he was alive. And that the God I serve does not start something that He doesn't intend to finish. So I believed that Walt would come out of this whole and restored.
He was not immediately. It was a long, hard road to get there. But eventually he did come out of it just as I believed God had intended for him to to begin with. It was not instanteously. But GOD still did the work.
I've thought about this alot in the years since the aneurysm. If Walt had not been restored wholly, would I still have said that this was a miracle from God? What if God had decided to take him Home to Heaven instead of finishing the work He had started in the operating room? What then? The conclusion I came to is that - first of all only God is GOD. He makes the choices, not me. And yes, whatever choice He had made really would have to be considered a miracle. If He had brought Walt back only part of the way, it still would have been more than the doctors had expected. So I would still say yes, it was a miracle. And if God had taken Walt to Heaven, how much more could Walt have ever hoped for?! It would have been hard for us, but the JOY that Walt would have been experiencing - oh my!! So for a believer, I guess I kind of feel like whatever GOD chooses - He always chooses for our best.
I know this sounds like double-talk. I do believe that what God starts He always intends to finish. But I'm not sure that HIS way of finishing something is always the same as OUR idea of finishing something.

This goes right along with the saying that God always answers prayers, sometimes His answer is just no. We also may not know for many years WHY His answer was no, but eventually we will. I prayed for things decades ago that only now have come about and looking back I see God's wisdom for NOT granting me certain favors we I first asked. Only in a lifetime of hindsight am I beginning to understand.

I John 5:13-15 (KJV - Emphasis added)
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
The "key" to receiving that which we ask of God - doing so according to his will. And what is His "will"? Well, John also tells us what that is as well:
I John 3:22 (KJV)
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Aren't ya thankful for that word "whatsoever," which implies that nothing is excluded? Our Lord Jesus Christ also included it within the context of that which He said concerning the petitions we submit to God, therein displaying our confidence (i.e., faith) in Him to fulfill (see Matthew 21:22) -
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Each of these things reflect our actions, with believing, IMHO, being the most essential element, for it expresses the "confidence that we have in him."

Reverend Kenneth Haney Update 10/06/11
Bishop Haney had the best night yet since his diagnosis! We are thanking God for that and thanking all of you who are praying - for your PRAYERS! He has preached FAITH for years and now that Faith is being tried! But as the three Hebrew children had the 4th man walking with them in the fire, we feel HIM walking with us in the fire! We TRUST HIM and are not afraid but are confident in His mercy and power to answer all the prayers prayed around the world on behalf of Bishop Haney! Saturday, October 15th - URGENT - Update from Pastor Nathaniel Haney
To our church family and all of our beloved friends that have been in prayer for my father, I would like to take a moment to update you of his present condition. Over the last three days he has steadily been declining. He can no longer walk and most of the time he just lies in bed sleeping. As a family we are still beseeching the Almighty to raise him up and heal him. We do realize without a miracle the end is near. I know that people around the world have been praying and as of late at the UPCI General Conference there has been a 24 hour prayer chain, for this we are extremely grateful. At present we feel a deep urgency, at the condition of our father and we are asking once again for intercessory prayers to be made. We thank you so much for your prayers and support, and all the love you have given us. Please hold my father up in prayer with the family believing for his healing.
May God do that which it is in His perfect will to perform. I will continue to pray for Bro. Haney, and believe that God will do according to His good pleasure.
