Imagine that you had never had the internet in your home. How do you think this would change your relationship with God? I am convinced that everything we do affects our relationship with God in some way or the other. How does internet affect us? Does the negative outweigh the positive?

The internet affects us the way we let it affect us.
It is like asking how do books or magazines affects us. well it depends on what kind of books and magazines we read.
What kind of radio does a person listens to affects that person.
It is not the radio that is the problem, it is what is listened to.
the exact thing with the internet.

Many times I've wondered the same thing: could I do without it like I did years ago? Probably.

However, there is so much information available that it's nearly impossible to live without. How it affects our relationship with God is a matter of personal choice in content and time spent.

Whether the negative or positive outweighs the other, again, is a matter of personal choice in content and time spent.

On one hand the internet is a time sink for those of us who are geeks but it is also liberating for those who once thought they were the only ones who asked certain questions.

I do see quite a few dangers of a privacy nature on the net, but overall it is perhaps the most liberating invention ever.
