Unlike a lot of young boys, Bobby has no desire to join the Boy Scouts. Instead, he wants to be a Girl Scout.

Let him join. It will be good for his self esteem. Some boys don't relate well with other boys. Joining the boy scouts may be awkward for him.

The scouts are a private org. I hate to see them pander to the likes of GLBT.

Meh. Great place for him to meet girls. Seems pretty smart to me. Who wants to hang out with a bunch of dudes? ;)

You don't understand children do you?

Let him be. His dad is probably M.I.A., mom overbearing, gets teased at school. If the boy wants to be a... if... if he wants to be a girl... a girl scout, denying him the opportunity may cause more harm to him than earning a patch for baking, or whatevah it is that girl scouts do.

Yup. Lets just throw common sense away and allow the stupidest things in the world just to keep from hurting some idiots feelings.

So are you one of those folks who thinks we shouldn't keep score in sports because those who lose will have their feelings hurt and their self esteem damaged?

You wouldn't want to hurt this boys feelings, so just let him be wrong everyday of his life right?

Get the kid a haircut, tell his sicko freak mom to stop letting him wear girls clothes and get the boy some male role models to be around. Maybe toss out the kids barbie dolls and buy him some toy guns and sports equipment.

Why is perversion and effeminence such an acceptable thing now?

To answer your last question, because if it wasn't both parents that wanted a brief moment of pleasure together, then one or the other did, leaving one of them to fend for themselves and child. An overbearing parent is such a contributing factor anymore...

Does this justify situations where the child wants to explore activities solely intended for the opposite gender? Absolutely not. However, the times are such that what is right is considered wrong, and what's wrong is considered right; it's all about us and how we feel, and nothing about God.

Somewhere along the way, the parents dropped the ball and apparently don't care about the lasting effects for this child. Sadly, society caters to people/kids in this situation in the name of allowing everyone to express themselves freely. "If it feels good, do it."

I do feel sorry for this kid. Why? Because he's a kid. His vulnerability sticks out like a sore thumb...

I feel bad for the kid, but I feel nothign but disdain for the momma who encourages the sick behavior and appears to be doing nothing to correct it. She is enabling this perversion by dressing him like a girl and buying him girls toys.

Not having a father in the house is a lame excuse. My dad passed when I was 3 and my mother never remarried or had a man in the house to replace him. SHE took the responsibility to teach me that some things were for girls and some were for boys. Boys don't play with girls toys or wear girls clothes. Yes, not having a fatehr does leave lasting effects, but this case IMO is justone of a lazy enabling mom who wants her little baby to feel warm and fuzzy all the time instead of telling him he is wrong.

Shouldn't we be? Shouldn't chuild abuse set folks off easily?

This is no different than the two lesbain moms giving hteir kid hormone treatments to prevent puberty out in Cali. Child abuse plain and simple.

It is different. You probably think he should go behind a barn and scream, or jump up and down til the boys drop.

I don't think it's heartbreaking. I see starving children in the third world and think it's heartbreaking.

A boy wanting to join the Girl Scouts because he wasn't raised with any sense of an identity grounded in reality... I think it's just more stupidity from parents behaving badly.

First Peter Brady joins the Brownies (against his will) just to get back at Marsha for joining the Boy Scouts. Now a boy wants to join the girl scouts......

It is heartbreaking that his mother is imposing her stupidity onto her child.

You are one of the few men here with a good head on his shoulders. that young man will have all the best women to choose from. I am just so jealous.
Can I join and help the single mothers in girl scouts.
I am hunting women. I am a predator.

Maybe getting involved with a girl scout will wake this kid up to the fact that he's a male. :)
