She is in the Philippines...and the area I know is not the safest place to be. Am sure she will get home and update us...Just keep her in your prayers.

Enjoy your vaca, Sherri!!!
... just kidding.
I know that you work hard and that there are many difficulties and challenges that await you. Take good care and travel with the covering of the Holy Spirit.

What Sherri does is hard work and in places that could be very dangerous. Yes, Pelathais I know you were kidding.

missionary work is very hard many times because you deal with a complete different culture.

Thanks for the prayers!!! We need it - we are completely restructuring Love and Truth Philippines this week, meeting with pastoral leaders. We are in Mainla right now, flew in last night and spent the night here. We fly to Davao City today for meetings.
I just found out that our good friends the McQuays from Chicago are also in Davao and staying at the same hotel! Pretty sad when you have to go to the other side of the world to see your friends. Lol!
Jeannie Tenney called me day before yesterday and told me she was praying for us to get upgraded to Business Class. We had only paid for the cheap seats, but last night we got upgraded! Yay, God! At least we got a little rest. That flight is horrendous.

Whew! Intense meetings all day long with pastors/leaders. It was good and I know God is in control. Thanks for the continued prayers.:thumbsup
First let me say I am praying for you guys!
Second (and I know this is waaaay off topic... buuuuut...)
we have this resturant here in Dallas called Love and War in Texas... LOL.
Everytime I see you talk about your church and call it by it's name (which I really love) I think of that resturant!

We are leaving Davao City today and flying back to Manila before we head home. We have a full day in Manila, so I guess we will do a little sightseeing. I think I've already see all the main touristy things though, so we may just relax before getting on that LONG flight back to the U.S. I dread that, but I'm a pretty good traveler. Eddie, on the other hand, not so much. He always seems to get sick from long flights - his stomach isn't good for long travel. Please pray for him especially.

have a safe flight home, things with ginger in them, like ginger ale are supposed to be good for settling an upset stomach

Hmmm.... I love ginger ale. I'll be sure to drink that on the flight.

Thanks for all the prayers!! We got home last night around 6:30 PM. It was a day later than we were supposed to. We got stuck in Seattle for an extra day, but fortunately Delta paid for three meals and a hotel for us. We just hate getting in on Saturday evening, having to be ready for Sunday morning, but God gave us grace. I couldn't sleep all night long last night - just stared at the clock off and on, prayed for everyone I could think of, went over future missions trips in my mind, etc. etc. Major jet lag after crossing 14 time zones.
Pray for me as I leave in three weeks for Belize. We will be doing four services and handing out 1100+ Christmas boxes to needy children. I have a team of 21 going on this one - Lord, give me patience.
