View Full Version : Sis. Content Ballestero
For those interested, Sis. Content Ballestero passed away a few days ago. She was the wife of Bro. Carl Ballestero who departed nearly 20 years ago. They were dedicated to the service of their Master, and their inspiration and influence are still felt.

I remember attending school with a little girl named Ramona Ballestero. We did not know what religion she was, but she had long pretty hair that was always put up, braided etc. We asked her to come to school with it down and one day she did. It was very pretty and nobody ever seemed to bother her. I wonder if she was any relation?

Yes she is ... Ramona is the wife of Nathan Yandris, the pastor of Faith Tabernacle in Tracy California.

We knew the Ballestero's. Have Bro. Carl Ballestero's book. I know she will be missed here on earth, but happy to be in the presence of the Lord. Will be praying for the family.

I did NOT know this - how sad. I have many notes from Bro. Ballestero's sermons in Sulphur, LA. If I'm not mistaken he had taken that church after Bro. Free had it? Then Bro. Don Meade and then of course the wonderful Alvear family came. Bro. Boyd has the church now. Very saddened to hear about Sis. B - I have many memories of her.

I have that book as well and it is one of my favorites. I re-read it every so often. So uplifting and encouraging! I heard Sis. Ballestero speak at a ladies conference several years ago and I got SO excited about living for God just hearing her speak and the stories she told! She was such an incredible example and I wish I could be just like her. Such a sweetheart!
