My grandpa's church/pastor used to be my pastor and is very anti oneness and Holy Ghost. Yet, he keeps having this Acts 2:38 preacher preach there time and time again! We have several family members in this small church and he is preaching revival this week. I would appreciate the saints' prayers that God will open up their eyes to the New Birth message!

That is a strange situation there.

Am I understanding you, that this "anti" preacher has invited someone to preach a doctrine that he doesn't agree with?

Yes that's right. He invites him often. The preacher throws Acts 2:38 message into every sermon, but doesnt pound on it everytime. He has used great wisdom and has earned their respect. He did expound one time and they didnt receive it. But continue to invite him back. Strange indeed...i know.

So tonights service..
The Holy Ghost moved! The power of God was so strong and there was great liberty for us to worship in Spirit (unusual in this church indeed). A young couple came who had never been there before. The evangelist preached on repentance. They bascially ran to the altar at first call and poured their heart out to God with tears and sobs! As they were still in the midst of repenting and crying out to God the pastor of said church asked them if they had asked Jesus into their heart and to forgive their sin. They responded in the positive and he told them that was great, they could get up now! (aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were still repenting!) Anyway...their tears were real and so was their experience with God. I got their contact info and they were very eager to get together. I believe they will come to the fullness of truth! They were admonised to keep seeking God and allow Him to lead. I'm overwhelmed with the same Joy that the angels in Heaven are experiencing because of TWO sinners repenting! Also overwhelmed with the desire to see them go all the way for God and be baptized in Jesus Name, receive the Holy Ghost and get in a bible preachin church! God is faithful!

This revival is lasting till Saturday. Continued prayer that the people there will receive truth and an open door for me to be able to share this message with this newly repented couple is greatly appreciated!

How do you know the revival is lasting till saturday?
Wouldn't it be up to the Lord how long a revival lasts, it comes from Him in the first place!
You can't stop a revival, that's God's decision.:nod

Well it is always nice to see the ones who practice sin coming to Jesus by faith and repentance. Now, make sure someone takes them to the book of Romans and teach them what just happened and who they are now in Christ Jesus before the devil starts in on them and brings them back into condemnation.
The emotional experience will not last forever the time will come when they need to stand on the covenant promise and not on what they have experienced emotionally.
Acts 2:38 is fine for a start but it won't give them comfort in the midnight hours when no saints or preachers can be found, and everyone's phone is on voice mail.
