Vicki, not sure if you come around these parts to read or not, but I just want to give you a holler.
When I came in from work tonight I tuned into Dan Willis' program, and your were singing Because Of Who You Are...I've heard you sing it a zillion times, but never grow weary of it. It was absolutely wonderful, and it sounds like a new track...very nice indeed!
And then you tore me up, girl, when you sang I'm At Peace...never heard it before and I love it!
We've lost touch these past few years and I don't know much about what is happening with you, but I know what I felt in my inner beings as I watched and listened to you sing that song...and that is this...
A person can't sing a song like that, the way you sung it, and not have experienced the storm. I don't need to know details to know that in it you learned the heart of that song, and that is, when the hand of the Lord is laid on you, it brings a stillness in your spirit...a rest that cannot be compared to anything else.
When you sing "I'm at peace," you are not singing just another lyric or catchy melody...you are singing what you have lived and learned seated at the feet of the Master.
God bless you, Vicki...may He lead and guide, keeping you always in His care!
