Why doesn't he pray for God's will to be done?

The Pentagon and news media should put him on ignore.

Because then he would be dead?

I burned a whole bunch of new age garbage I found the other day.
Mind you I did not advertise it all through the media.
I own a koran but will not burn it because it comes in handy to see how misguided these muslim people are.
For the same reason I don't burn the book of mormon.

I think early on in our marriage my wife "cleaned house" and burned a New World Translation (JW), a Book of Mormon, and bottle of champagne from our honeymoon... unnecessary precautions to me, but oh well...
I did not place high value on the books, and we really did not need the champagne to spice anything up... expecting child number five next month. :)

Yeah if you read it then you can amuse the board and point out all the discrepencies in it.

I recently put a copy of the Koran on my NOOK Tablet. I have not read it yet. I had to shake my head over the Book of Mormon. I think that some of them are doing this soley to steal the thunder of Fred Phelps and company.

I had to shake my head over the Book of Mormon.
What happened when you did that, Jay?
I started laughing. As I am not a woman, my head shaking did nothing to the book. I was struggling with amusement.

Fred Phelps is a shock jock provocateur. His tactics are designed to create so much hatred in religion that laws will be passed prohibiting not only religious expression, but legitimate peaceful protests as guaranteed our right to redress government in our Constitution.
Fred Felps the fake and fony friar.

I entirely agree with you concerning this. The man is a disgrace to the title of paster. He is a reproach to the Church, and has inflicted the gravest harm upon those souls who are lost in sin and wishing to be delivered from the sin of homosexuality. All he does is drive them deeper into that lifestyle, and does nothing to help them out. I would not wish to serve a god that told me that no matter what I attempted to do, because of my lifestyle he hated me and I was already lost. At that point, who would even bother to try.
Fake and fony frier!!

OK, so when reading the Quran, if you think you find a contradiction or an error, how can you tell if it's not just an apparent contradiction or error? I bet you could reconcile them all, if you try. :hmmm

Man, you don't even have to try hard; despite all the ignorant noise I've heard here on this subject, the Qur'an venerates Christ. You might call them "Oneness" rather than "Trinny," but surely Oneness people have a
justifiable conception of Christ? I never really got the 1-3 arg, myself.
I'm still trying to grasp the diff here, but I can say this;
I am led to run the fastest from a "Christian" who asks me,
5 minutes after we've met, if I "know the Lord,"
and I don't think I am alone there.

3 things:
1. I think burning books is rather pointless and in some cases, incendiary (npi)
2. I understand people wanting to burn the Quran just because they can and because so many people are insisting that they can't. I still think it's pointless, but I understand the emotion behind it.
3. I appreciate the right of people in this country to destroy personal property, and I strongly object to any efforts to take that right away. And yes, that includes the right to destroy Bibles. It isn't my job to force other people to respect the things that are sacred to ME.

Fred Phelps is a lunatic, and IMO, dangerous. He's the type of *cult leader* who could easily provoke his followers to actual violence--and justify it in their eyes and his.

So, when does one become their brother's keeper?
And does..."Democracy" actually inhibit this?
I note that the Kingdom is not a democracy.

"Democracy" is mob rule isn't it. The Gospel is to be obeyed and lived out at the individual level. A 'Democrcy" is lived out in the group/mob level.

Please vote your conscience there,
and expect to be ostracized by
your fellow "Christians" for this.

Just a wild guess, but I'd say no, that's not why he doesn't just pray God's will to be done. :winkgrin

I just burnt some manuals from some old Sony camcorders. I wonder if the nation of Japan would rise up and start looting if they found out?

That's what I was doing when I picked it up.......

I support his right to do it. I don't agree with it but I agree even less with those that use such actions as a pretence to violance or to incite violance
