How much will the public put up with? There was a report on just now about a Congressman that was paying $1,900 a month lease on his vehicle, paid for by you and I! Over 80 others that were paying high amounts in leasing their vehicles, (an most were Democrats). Making cuts applies to everyone but the President and Congress, and the First Lady I might add. Liberals, defend these actions.

That's the problem with politicians. That want to make a career out of it. What we need are Statemen that will serve for a limited term and go back to real life.

I'm for term limits. I wish we could vote them ALL out of offive.

yeah but they were fuel efficient and/or hybrid vehicles,

and there was at least one Republican riding around on our taxpayer money in those rented vehicles.

I think stuff like the car leases, the GSA partying and extravagance, the first lady's jetting around with friends and family, Nancy Pelosi's fancy aircraft, etc just show the arrogance of our governing officials and their complete contempt for the American taxpayers.

True. That's why we need term limits.

Well, trust that when you all stop voting, and dis-invest in the system, only then will it change.

What do you mean by "dis-invest in the system"?

Well, my meaning is pretty radical--but I would start with
recognizing that when enough people wake up, and turn off Fox news,
and ignore the process entirely, the process will fall under its own weight.
I've gone as far as to stop driving, cap my reported income at $8k and barter for the rest, currently installing CNG converters in vehicles, surely in defiance of...someone, BigOil...I go where the Spirit leads there.

Just like a plant, if they are ignored, they will die.

Start a thread on the CNG thing would yah. I'd like to discuss that and things like and no need to hijack this thread.

Well, I would, but I'm pretty sure that we are technically talking about breaking the law--big oil has arranged it so that it is illegal for you to modify your own car, and a mechanic has to pay like $10k for each model, each year of cars that they retrofit; like its rocket science or something.

Pretty sure the FBI would be...well, looking for my door, by morning. They wouldn't find it, but...anyway, look online for kits, the hard part is getting them sent.
