Please pray for my cousin. Burn victim

My mother's cousin was burning brush this weekend. I don't know why (since he's smarter than this!) but he decided to put some accelerant on it and get it going. It literally blew up in his face! The explosion knocked all the pictures down from the walls inside their home!!! He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his face, his head and his arms primarily. Please pray that he heals quickly and without any infection. Pray that the pain meds will be able to keep the pain to a minimum. And pray for his wife Phyllis. She has to be exhausted, altho she never complains. Less than 6 months ago, he had half of one foot amputated. So he just got thru that!

Thank you to all of you for praying for Eddie. His wife told me tonight that they are very concerned that he might now be developing pneumonia. His lungs were definately damaged in the accident, so that would not be at all good. I will let Phyllis know that all of you are praying for them. It will mean a great deal to her!

Eddie's daughter sent a long summary of what's gone on in the last 24 hours. Basically, he is filling with fluid (pulmonary edema) and they are checking his heart to see if it was also damaged. He is tentatively scheduled for a skin graft on Thursday but unless the edema goes down, it will be cancelled. We would appreciate it if you would take just a minute to pray again today for Eddie and family. Pray that they find the cause of the edema and that they are able to get it under control. Thanks!

Just thought I'd share with you what Phyllis (Eddie's wife) posted tonight on Facebook..............

Wow...a really good day for Charlie. No skin grafts going to be needed on the burns. Vent settings better..eased respiratory effort , and fluid leaving the body...over 5 liters in 12 hours!!! Thanks for all the good thoughts, prayers, hugs and messages. They are all working!!! Most relaxed I have felt in days!!

Please don't stop praying for him tho. He has a long, long ways to go!!! Thank you again and again!! :yourock
