What exactly is the feelings of love that God has towards us? God calls us His children--John 15:9-17, 1 John 3:1-2. He tells us to ripen and mature and to love each other as He loves us. John 13:34-35. What is the KEY to God and the cure for mankind? God loves us with a fierce maternal/paternal instinct--Romans 8:37-38. How do we feel when we look into the eyes of our newborn? What would we do to protect, love and serve them? How do we forgive our own children when they do wrong? We are to ripen and mature in God's love and to love others as He loves us. If we stopped viewing others as our brothers and sisters and thought of them more as we do our newborns--then what do you think would happen? We would KILL hate, greed, intoleration, impatience, lust, jealousy, abuse, gossip, etc. We would give our neighbor the shirt off our backs and then some. How should we rebuke each other? How do we talk to our children when they've done wrong? We must grow up. There is rivalry in siblings--God doesn't intend for us to have rivalry. For those who don't have children--did you ever have a favorite pet that you gave unconditional love to? Did you love this pet JUST because it loved you? We often don't even treat each other as well as we do our pets. Start with treating people as well as your pet if you don't have children--it'll work miracles. Then do it all in the name of Jesus Christ.
