Anyway, the pastor started to preach and he begin to try to motivate this congregation to pray harder and longer so as they could hear the voice of the Lord more than they have been. He called it elevated prayer. He preach for quiet some time to them if they would elevate their prayers they would hear the voice of the Lord. And he went about preaching how back in the days of Amos I think it was that there was a famine for the word of God and Amos being a simple common man heard the voice of God. The whole time he was preaching this to his congregation...the Lord was talking to me on the front row sitting right in front of him.

Later on the Lord told me to send that pastor an email and ask him why he had to elevate his prayer if the Spirit of God lived within him?

I never heard from him.

I like prodding people, getting them to think beyond what they are used to, defending their beliefs (if possible :lol). When I first joined, I was still a Christian, but recently exited the Assemblies of God and Pentecostalism. Let me explain to you my understanding.

First of all, we all know that Mary was a virgin. God planted Himself or His seed within her womb. She bore a son. Jesus was born and he is the Christ, because He is the Messiah and he is the Son of God, because he is God in the flesh. He is only limited by the flesh. The flesh makes him the Son of God.

When I pray I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. There are many men that are named Jesus. None are our Lord and none are our Christ. They didn't die on the cross for our sins. However, our Lord Jesus Christ did die on the cross for our sins and his flesh made him the Son of God.

In the flesh, he felt what we felt. Hunger, fatigue, pain, etc.. It was important for him to walk and experience what we do not only for the point of his execution, but also for the point of knowing he has compassion for the little things in life that we pray for because HE LIVED. Then HE DIED for us. THEN HE ROSE AGAIN! I think that qualifies him as the Son of God in the Flesh and The Christ that was foretold to come as our Messiah.
