Please whisper my name in prayer today...I have some serious health issues and have been on some real powerful drugs for several years. Doc is concerned that I have been on for too long and is removing several, in an attempt to save my liver and kidneys...This process started in October. I am going off of my third drug- these withdrawals are the worst so far. terrible, in fact.
Please remind God that I'm down here...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Praying for you. I really dont want to high jack this thread or draw attention to myself, but let me tell you what God did for me. I was prescribed some meds.,after a year of use I realized it was time to wean off of them. I was very dependent on them and could wean off only so far before real severe withdrawal symptoms kicked in. In fact, I got down from 20mg (very powerful) everyday to 5 mg every other day but if I missed that dose, near crippling withdrawal symptoms would ensue.Dizziness, vertigo and anxiety. Along with this I was suffering from insomnia. I shared my predicament with only my wife and pastor, as I knew they would understand and not judge me. Of course I prayed and dealt with this for weeks and weeks with out real relief. We had communion one sunday morning. As a church we always viewed communion as a time of healing, consecration and remembrance and not so much a religious ritual. During communion God dealt with me that He wanted to bless me. For what, I didnt know, I just knew He wanted to touch me some how. After we drank our juice and ate our crackers we had a moment of prayer God began to move on me. As the church continued in prayer and worship, my pastor came over and told me he felt God had something for me. He prayed a short, private prayer in faith with me. No drama. God touched me that day, I felt relief. Over the next few days I realized I had no withdrawal symptoms and I could actually sleep the whole night. I dont know where your faith is at (high or low) but I can tell you that I make no claims of great faith, I was just desperate for relief. I had just enough faith to ask for Gods help and He heard. That was 6yrs ago and I am insomnia and drug withdrawal free. Praise God healing! Praise God for quiet, desperate prayers and the people willing to pray them with us.
