If this guy was to be killed while he was in jail awaiting trial, I wouldn't feel bad one bit.

Why won't the police make this guy disappear?

Usually, I wouldn't feel so harsh about any criminal, any human being-- especially a 17 year old boy.

He's not a man-- not in any sense of the word. However, it doesn't mean a thing in this case.

He's human excrement and if justice doesn't come the way of the American Justice system because this teenager happens to just disappear, I wouldn't care.

Where are the corrupt police officers so that they can come and take out the trash in Brunswick, GA?

This story makes me cringe everytime I hear anything about it.

Fat chance of Al and Jesse saying anything against this kid, or his family who tried to obstruct justice.

But, they never speak out unless the victim(s) are black-- which is also very nauseating, and nearly impossible to defend in 21st century America where much of the racial prejudice against blacks that exists today is fueled by the actions of some blacks who are alive today. These are they who think their actions don't affect anyone or anything, if they think at all.

Maybe, if more black people of national recognition would speak out against the violent crime rate of black youths, and use their resources to help address the problems of our communities, then maybe things would be different.

Then again, they would say, "Why just us? Why not ask white people of national recognition speak out against violent crime rate of white youths..."

Then whites would say, "It's not our problem, they have the police, and politicians who could pass better laws..."

Meanwhile, every 24 hours that passes, black males are the perpetrators and the victims of more violent crimes.

The State of Georgia will not pursue the death penalty against elk-scum, the 17 yr old that shot a baby in his face at point blank range in front of his Mom. Their laws won't allow capital punishment for crimes committed by people under the age of 18. I guess a civilized society would be expected to have some kind of provision like this.

Still, I wonder who has made provision for Ms. Sherry West, the mother of baby Antonio? What about her pain, suffering, and loss?

Should she sue our civilized society, in a court of law, for wrongful death? If possible, what would be the monetary settlement for the loss she has endured?

I a court of law the Defense Attorney for our society would have a very tough time, because what has happened to Ms. West and what continues to happen all across our country is morally and legally indefensible. So is our society's response-- morally and legally indefensible.

Putting the rabid 17 year old down who did this would only neutralize one dog. The longer our society refuses to appropriately address our problem, the more costly our problem will become. Indeed, there is a running day and a catching day.

I think I read somewhere the father of this murdered baby actually went into some kind of mental decline over this tragedy and now the couple is headed for divorce.
